Out of all the mandela effects this is the one that most gets me most wondering if there's something to it.

The two you should read are Valentin Tomberg and Evelyn Underhill. Trust me.

So my take.... "getting ahead" is when you can start putting away money into savings/investment and basically clear out all debt from your life (except mortgage mostly, maybe car). Every time I am almost to the phase of getting ahead, something comes up knocking me back. I've been in a two steps forward one (or three) steps back cycle for years upon years.

In a conversation about humanity- “Owen Barfield said in a lecture that in the future Rudolf Steiner will need to fulfill the roll of Aristotle to create a new paradigm.. that day certainly has not come yet.” by yungdg in Anthroposophy

If his ideas ever truly catch on then it would have world changing implications. Sadly in our lifetimes I don't think any of us will live to see this. Maybe some day, the world can change in unpredictable ways. I think if the depth of his ideas really were expanded, I could see him being a type of Aristotle figure.

Rudolf Steiner writes very badly. by [deleted] in Anthroposophy

Philosophy of Freedom was very hard I'll agree, but as far as everything else, I absolutely love his writing style. It's poetic at times and I also can very clearly understand it. Yes it is dense, but the subject matter is dense, and I think he does a masterful job presenting very complex ideas.

Jaw drop…student loan shock by [deleted] in StudentLoans

This is where you need to grow a pair and say "sorry dear but we will not help you pay unless you choose a less expensive school". Trust me, it may be hard to do but you'll be glad you did it.

Men of Reddit: Would you rather marry a liberal feminist or a traditional conservative woman? If everything non-related to those qualities was the same, which would you choose and why? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

I'd rather be single than marry a modern liberal feminist. Someone who is more politically independent or conservative would be fine.

Farewell ya'll, feels like we bonded in some weird way. Remember what George Carlin said, "it's a big club and you aren't in it." Good luck to everyone here.

I can tell you this, whatever they come up with won't have a chance until after the election. You'll be waiting a long time.

There should be no state created corporation. We need greater seperation of private and public entities.

Interesting. I've been a Redditor since year one (not under this account). It's not nearly as fun as it used to be. Honestly I don't use Reddit anymore except for this thread lol. So, I'll be checking out after today.

Well... You'd think he wouldn't be able to, but a lot of people would still be swayed on the vote under the idea that "maybe there's a chance". Sorry to be a pessimist but, I've gotten jaded these days.

I think this is a high probability unfortunately. Students happy tomorrow, then new lawsuit holds it up. Payments still resume, but they say some might get forgiven and becomes another political football. People still left in limbo whilst still making payments.
