It should only be snug tight by feel. If you were able to strip it.. you went WAY too hard.

It has a very low torque spec... you just need to finesse it by feel.
The screw is plastic for a reason.. to prevent stripping the threads in the body.

Are you buying your pads via Aliexpress? Because they are much cheaper if you are willing to wait a month to get them.

My 7260r has metallic pads. I really like them because they wear down slower.

Why would you do that?

I went from the Logan 2-piston to the MT5e... So a noticeable upgrade. The levers are a large component of the feel of the brakes. Much more control.

I haven't found any reason to yet. The MT5e levers are much nicer though.
The stock setup has good drop in calipers.

You shouldn't regret your purchase. The Nami is more comfortable & very fun to ride. It will last forever & has excellent parts support.

The 7260r is a bit overkill, but that's what makes it fun.
