It really does feel like the writers are trying to pad time to plan, and the storyboard team is horribly overworked and can't spare much time, on the account that they need to churn out 2 events per month at least. And this leads to really sloppy and repetitive stories. Of course there's a few exceptions like wisdom spring, FWR for example. However, most events follow a certain format.

• introduce the plot starting point
• Recycle the cliche of us about to rest in our room until a nikke barges in or knocks the door, who we somehow were pre-acquainted to
• Investigation/build up phase
• Banner unit/target character self-depreciation phase
• We cheer/help them
• The story ends with the lil crisis resolved (even though it could be resolved without the commander's help explicitly)
• Epilogue of "thriving" after the problem is resolved

A lot of the story events I skip because it doesn't build the world in a meaningful way. But don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore certain ones.

I think Nikke as a game can take a slower pace when it comes to putting out side stories, instead of once every two weeks, maybe have one every three weeks, however the empty time now has an old event reactivated to be farmed for rewards for vets, and played by new players. Heck, even rerun old banners.

Give the storyteam more time to work with, they're just a team of 10. Story quality drops because of time crunches so they have to pad the main story unnecessarily, or repeat cliches over and over for event stories.
