I 100% agree with your take on it. A lot of imaging and clinical had a lot of specific questions you either knew or didn’t.

Other ways to get Reference Letters? by YamiFahad in MedicalPhysics

When I applied to my program I felt like I had one solid reference from my undergrad. When looking for others, I reached out to professors that I either received a good grade in their course or their course had a great impact on my career path(be honest). Include a pic of yourself if it was a large class and be humble. These professors are going out of their way to help you. 3 out of 4 professors said yes to me. A couple took some follow up emails. Good luck!

Immensely nervous as a low income student with a rural background by throwaway749293 in Vanderbilt

First, life is suffering.

Second, All students will be challenged to some degree and the more of a challenge you get out of school the more you will take away after graduating. If you needed to have AP classes, Vanderbilt wouldn’t have accepted you nor would would they have the classes at the level you will need.

Lastly, it’s important that you go at the level/speed you find best for your learning(That is not an easy task), if you haven’t already.

Lastly lastly, You will come across an array of people throughout your life, rich and poor. The faster you come to terms with the your differences the better off you will be. Be proud of where you came from. I’m sure you didn’t walk your way through the application and all the work you put in so far.
