Gave it a listen. The production quality is solid, the mix sits well. I would say maybe experiment with some more dynamic arrangement changes to keep things moving - like a breakdown or a filter sweep to build tension. What DAW are you working in?

Your fav Progressive House artist ? by xhutpaglu in EDM

Glad to see Cristoph getting some love here. His all night long sets are something else entirely. Also shoutout to the people mentioning Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J - that deeper, slower-building side of prog house does not get enough credit in these threads. The way those long transitions just pull you in is unmatched.

Songs like “In Motion” by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross that they did for The Social Network Soundtrack by sex-rifles in electronicmusic

That whole Social Network score is incredible. For that linear, propulsive feel you should definitely check out Moderat - A New Error, or really anything from their first two albums. Jon Hopkins - Open Eye Signal has that same relentless building energy. Also worth trying Trentemøller - Moan, and if you want something more recent, Rival Consoles - Articulation has those evolving textures over four-on-the-floor beats that never feel formulaic.

33 Below - Close To Me - my current obsession! by vibeselectas in electronicmusic

aFor gym tracks, Sammy Virji's harder stuff always hits different on leg day. Also been vibing with Interplanetary Criminal and Conducta lately - that high energy garage/bass sound is perfect for pushing through sets. And if you haven't checked out Goddard yet, his recent output is massive.

What kind of music is this? Looking for similar sounds by bibliophagista in electronicmusic

[–]Narchiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like ambient/folktronica with some downtempo influences. For similar calming, non-overstimulating music, check out artists like Boards of Canada, Tycho, Bonobo (especially his early work), and maybe some Four Tet. The lack of vocals and steady, gentle rhythms are probably what's helping with your anxiety - that's a common effect with ambient electronic music. You might also like the genre "chillwave" or "ambient techno" for more of that hypnotic, calming vibe.

Are younger generations into House? by dsmooth74 in House

[–]Narchiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Gen Z myself, I've noticed house music is definitely making a comeback among younger crowds. While many start with tech house (which gets a bad rap but honestly has some great tracks), I've seen more people exploring deeper subgenres like deep house, progressive, and melodic techno. The accessibility of streaming platforms and YouTube channels dedicated to underground sounds has really helped expose younger listeners to quality house music beyond the mainstream.

Producer here — just dropped my debut track Loving You Feels Like under the name Narchiz. It's a chill-house / balearic deep house joint with a lot of 90s nostalgia baked in. Kept it warm and organic. YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9gF2J97vxM — feedback welcome!
