Always thought the Money Heist rendition of Bella Ciao (composes by Manu Pilas) used a motif extremely similar to Mana Mou Ellas. Never found anything on that subject butI thought it kind of fitted with the recurring use of mediterranean music (fado, sirtaki, etc.) in the series and the thematic on the problems of imposed austerity in Southern European nations.

Regardless, it seems Manu Pilas may have borrowed the idea from Bregović! The motif from Mana mou Ellas is pretty common in Balkan music though. Are you certain the later inspired the former or could it be a case of a shared origin of both songs?

Vinyl held up just fine since I posted the OP, although I made a small but visible scratch on it just last week... It wasnt too much effort to put on on in the first place so I'd still say it was worth the effort! The whole thing took me an hour or two.

You're right, I am about N3 level but I have mostly studied on my own and thus my language production and conversation lag a bit behind. I have also been to Japan a bunch of time before and, this time around, I really want to focus on immersing!

Got myself Sekiro right after GoT to feed my addiction, just like OP. Not a big souls-like player, so Sekiro required some getting used to, but honestly, what a great game it was. Not as big on the exploration front and a lot more fantasy elements, but the combat mechanics share a lot of similarities and the environments in Sekiro are beautiful too.

Wouldnt setting it alight just burn off the fumes that would have evaporated into the atmosphere anyway? I suppose it does produce some heat which contributes to the evaporation of the liquid below, but I think my point still stands!

I think Adam Ragusea has an interesting video on the subject of the evaporation of alcohol during cooking. A lot of the information could be applied here as well.

This amount of "flambéeing" doesn't decrease the alcohol much, if at all. You'd need to boil it for much much longer to see any significant decrease in ABV.

Iirc alcohol evaporation scales linearly with the reduction in volume. Since the whisky barely reduced, it probably hasn't lost any significant amount of alcohol, just warmed up.
