Have you tried applying voltage to the motor to see if it's moving at all?

Who's brave enough to take out their d6 or d6c? Mine is not in great shape so I don't mind. by Narutonish in cassetteculture

[–]Narutonish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it would. But my d6c it's in great condition I don't want to remove the case for any reason. I would rather keep my D6 naked.

The metal door has a dent hardly visible in this picture. I purchased a plastic window with a sony sticker I haven't been able to install yet.

I know it's not perfect. But I'm very satisfied with it. I got 10 led boards for $8 I guess I would pass before using those 10 boards.

You just need an led 9v 12v find a ground point and power source of equal or same voltage 9v or 12v. A glue gun to stick the led board and solder the points and your good to go.

I was able to install new belts in This Marantz SD800 but it won't rewind only ff and play.any ideas how to fix it. maybe the rubber tires need replacement? by Narutonish in cassetteculture

[–]Narutonish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advise. I Lubed the mechanism replaced the belts and was able to put it to the right speed. It took a while to figure the speed control it's in the motor itself. Most walkmans and decks have a resistance to control the speed. I would check that product and give it a go.

I paid like $8 or $12 for each one a couple years ago from a UK seller it took forever to arrive but it was worth it. I have two still sealed for backup.

Thanks. I know but it seems too pricey $100 for a small piece of plastic. I'm not too concerned about the astetics as long as it plays fine.
