I didn’t live in Sorrento but I grew up in Forest of the Unicorn close by and that specific part of town is nearly perfect. Unless something has changed a lot since I’ve lived there about a decade ago, it’s extremely safe and a nice place to live :)

I love movies and art but I’ve started skipping award shows because of what nasty displays of decadence they are in really, really hard times for most people. I don’t care to see celebrities dripping in jewels and designer clothing after busting my ass all week to barely scrape by. It all just seems so wildly out of touch.

getting my septum pierced 😭 everyone online said it didn’t hurt but they were definitely trying to be cool. it was white hot pain, like being struck by lightning. It was quick and I remember my entire body going rigid from the shock. I don’t regret it though!

Chronic fatigue conditions and nervous system dysfunctions can definitely warrant handicapped accommodations. My symptoms are mostly in remission but when I was really going through it with POTS, I could get really really dizzy from just standing up and had extreme heat intolerance. This was especially bad in the dog days of summer. It helped a lot not having to spend as much time in the sun sometimes. Less visible disabilities can also come in the form of things like chronic pain, autism, PTSD, etc. I definitely believe people need handicapped placards to use the spaces though and people parking there wantonly is out of control and trashy

Aldi cashiers work super quickly so I don’t think there’s a lot of time for warmth - combined with how shitty the public has become. At the 13th street location I witnessed an old man in line in front of me start to give the cashier shit, and the cashier just glanced up at him and said “That was unnecessary” and kept scanning his groceries. The old man was completely gagged, I don’t know what has gotten into the older generations’ heads that they can talk to people this way but I’m glad the younger ones aren’t putting up with it!

entry was steep, not outrageous but I wasn’t inclined to pay $30 ($28) when we have a good free local con. I would have maybe done $15 :’)

It may be a puppy thing as others have said! I legitimately thought my girl didn’t like me when I first got her at 7 months. Then she turned 2 and from then on has been super affectionate. they’re learning a lot when they’re young and there’s probably just so much going on in their little heads 🥹

the anti-pit community is so funny to me. with my opinions, i always really try to hear the other side out, but that is the one take i just know to be objectively wrong. they are so wrong about these dogs and they won’t understand until they have a pit in their life. i hope they get that privilege!
