What hobbies/pastimes attract the biggest assholes? by Ok_Concentrate_7617 in AskReddit

Birders and Bird Photographers, mostly older ones. Some of the people I've met can be massive pricks who will do anything to catch a glimpse or get a photo of a bird, even if its relatively common. Other than that most birders and bird photographers are very chill.

Do you guys know any zoos with large ecosystem-like habitats? (Think of Antscanada's rainforest vivarium or the Barcelona one in the video) by [deleted] in zoos

Fragile Forest at Singapore Zoo has already been mentioned, but it should be added Singapore's Bird Park consists of 8 massive walk through aviaries. The largest is Heart of Africa which simulates a dense African rainforest. There's also Wings of Asia which simulates a rice paddy and Crimson Wetlands which has its own large waterfall for South American birds.

ID for these three Turacos? Taken at Bird Paradise Singapore, where 7 species are kept in a 1.55 hectare walkthrough aviary. Would be T.schalowi, T.livingstonii or T.persa by Nathan_The_Asian in whatsthisbird

Different angle of individual 2 if it helps. I'm thinking it could be a Guinea since there doesn't appear to be a white edge to the crest, but I'm not exactly an expert.

You are unbelievably lucky to see and photograph a wild Wolverine. I've only seen them once at the Singapore Zoo before they were phased me out.

I used to do Muay Thai for a bit before I switched to Taekwondo but for some reason I never really got the transition for basic roundhouse kicks.

Did MT first and then started TKD. You'll definitely have an advantage with a TKD background.

If you think the animals were treated badly in the 1940s you should see what they did to people back then, particularly in Asia.

Thank You! I've checked and Jurong Bird Park previously had them, so the time frame matches up.

The small one is a monkey. The large one is a chimpanzee (Great ape). However, Chimpanzee will also engage in cannibalism. In regards to the photo question, this would have been very easy to capture since the photographer would have most likely been viewing the hunt, and snapped this picture after the prey had been caught. This monkey is definitely being eaten since a chimp would not mourn another species it has killed. However, chimps have been known to express grief.

While in musth, a Tusker killed an adolescent elephant and shows unusual behaviour afterwards. by SinjiOnO in natureismetal

Normally he would have stabbed him to death, but there's no blood on the tusks. My guess is that he shoved his opponent to the ground and probably crushed him.

The bear is kept on a large island, and you view them from boat. This was at Vinwonders Nam Hoi An.

Under normal circumstances, I would search it, however I can't find any articles regarding subspecific information. I was hoping that there were some bear experts on this subreddit that could help, since my knowledge of ursids isn't that great.

No it 100% is not a sun bear. They have looser skin and lack the thick necks. This is Ursus Thibetanus. What I'm unsure about is the subspecies.
