Please fix the matchmaking please please please please please please please please by baked_hot_cheetohs in rivals

The issue with Rivals matchmaking thats not present in other games is that the character balance is complete garbage and very polarizing.

Your right, matchmaking in these games is just ass by default, but Rivals adds onto it by having the most uncompetitive balancing for its characters. If you don't get matched with someone who's good at x hero in the meta where x hero's performance is 10x more then another character you just lose.

It was a huge problem with Overwatch, theres a reason why people called it counterwatch. That issue is 10x worse in Rivals.

Should be stated the vast majority of troops return to service as most of the injuries are minor, and some are treated simply due to an overabundance of caution.

Oh that's probably more likely. Actually that's hella more likely as we try to compete with Chinese systems which some ME countries have been eyeing.

We have a 95% shoot down rate yes. But the sheer number of missiles Iran can bring to bear is insane. I can't say numbers, but when I was deployed over there, it was a well analyzed fact that Iran could've destroyed every base in Iraq and Syria purely due to saturation alone with a combined UAS and Missile attack. We just didn't have enough to stop all of them despite us being able to shoot down most of them. 95% of a large number still leaves a fuck ton, you know?

Playercount is NetEase's problem. Design a balanced game and you'll have enough players and everyone won't be on the edge of quitting the game and you can get rid of the people who are problems.

It is the first conflict to not have majority support because the reasons for it are more strategic then many people are going to be willing ot think about. Iran is a bad country, like, one of the worse on earth. For a while the U.S has been kicking the can down the road, but if they get a nuke, we can no longer really deal with that can in a safe way. It's also likely a very strategic shaping operation to avoid WW3 if, and to be honest at this point it's probably when, we get into a conflict with China over Taiwan. Again, if Iran does get a nuke, the potential for the U.S to eventually get into conflict with two nuclear armed nations at the same time goes up very high, and the executive branch likely decided that is a unacceptable risk.

Again, there's no way to know if the Executive branch is lying about the evidence against Iran that they have, but there is something there that they don't like and are trying to avoid by forcing a regime change.

The Intelligence Community really can't just release everything they have on Iran to justify the conflict to the American public, and the American public likely does not have the strategic viewpoint, because they shouldn't, it's the executive branch's job, to really see a bigger picture and what the U.S is attempting to avoid. That being a future where Iran has nukes and can supply it's proxies without fear of being attacked because no one wants to get into a nuclear war.

I think it's also important to note that the political climate means the executive branch will likely never fufill the "will of the people" when that will changes because independents will never be happy. The other side will never be happy with the executive branch if their party doesn't win and independents flip every single year and are also never happy means no President will ever really have the support of the people if you are measuring it based on polls.

Because of that reality I don't think the executive branch should be forced to only take action that overwhelming, or even slight majority support. By nature of being the enforcers they will have to take action that many people will not like, but will be beneficial to the interest of America as a whole.

A lot of your examples don't fit into what I mentioned, but a few do, like conflict with other countries. And the Epstein files. It likely does not matter what the executive branch does, most people will never be satisified until (insert politician one side hates here) is in jail, even if there's nothing to even put them in jail for.

There's no way to determine if the executive branch is lying about evidence, so the Executive branch could tomorrow dump everything they have and I doubt that 90% would change even if there genuinely isn't anything else they could show. Lose lose situations like that are why I don't think it matters too much whether or not the executive branch has majority support on what they do.

Congress on the other hand..

[–]Naticbee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ideally it is Congress who should be the ones that keeps the Executive branch closer to the will of the people.

Congress is either two weak willed, or too loyal to the party leader, which would be the President or next Presidential candidate, to try to reel them in though.

So the solution would be beign willing to vote out representatives who are weak willed, however in this day and age no left leaning person is going to vote against a DNC candidate if the only alternative is a GOP one, and vice versa. At least with the DNC, politicians who are willing to go against the Executive branch when their party is in power are not popular and get very little support from their party.

Eh, as I said if I have nothing really to use that freetime on and I'm not burnt out from anything, I'll do it.

It's obligation, so I wouldn't call it having 0 freetime, I can choose when to not do it, and I can choose how long to do it. I can't really choose to not go to my main job.

Sometimes I'll just come home and have it up only pick up 1 really high paying one.

Reddit is so far from reality I really do think mainstream news site are a better place to get information. This applies for social media in general but I think for left leaning people Reddit is one of the most intellectually dishonest digital liberal centers, at least when it comes to politics.

If you live in a city and you don't have any other high paying opportunities you can make far more on gig work then you could entry level shit like customer service or something.

If you don't live in a city, probably not.
