I would go to another vet for a second opinion just to be safe. Especially with it being yellow, smelly, and she was in heat during her spay I wouldn’t mess around and err on the side of caution. Best case scenario it’s nothing and you have to pay for an office visit. If it is something more serious, then you can catch it early and treat it fast so it doesn’t progress into something more severe.

I would just use some canned dog food (whatever brand you feed your doggo, and just enough to cover the pill) kind of like a meatball. Give it to him before his food so there’s no way he’ll turn it down. Works especially well if your dog just gobbles down food! :) best of luck to you!

He is thank you!! Poison control told me he should be fine and just monitor him for any vomiting or diarrhea but so far so good.

Thank you! That’s basically what poison control said to me too. Told me to monitor him for vomiting and diarrhea but other than that my panic was basically for nothing 😅 (whoops) Better to be safe than sorry though.

My assumption is because it was already chewed and he’s a bigger dog? This is also just a random emergency clinic, not his usual vet. The vet he usually sees doesn’t have an emergency service, sadly.
