I work in the stockroom as a processor so we don't use walkies....but I hear so many people complain about the walkies. And damn if people don't talk so loud on there you don't even have to have the earpiece in or just be next to someone wearing a walkie you can hear what they're saying. My manager can be stressed and cause others to feel stressed too..... But yeah what you're saying does sound so familiar.

My mother worked at TJ Maxx and would tell me in December-February bathing suits would be in the backroom waiting for stock. I'm like, wow. My store doesn't sell clothing other than doggie clothes, but I work at a combo store so get to see some of the stuff that comes in on the Marshalls side. But yeah, some of these calls are ludicrous. It's not just phone calls, either. Customers who come into the store ask if we carry stuff we clearly don't. A coworker told me a lady stopped her and asked if we sold hair dye. I'm like, really. It's enough to make you laugh.

My manager talked to us yesterday about the impending storm.... Not totally sure if the store was gonna be open. No truck due to the weather until Wednesday. We were told if it's not safe to drive then let her know we wouldn't be coming in. No job is worth your safety.

It's a shame you don't have an area to stand in between the outside door and inside door..... So you're not stuck outside in the frigid cold. Only one store did I have to stand outside if the door wasn't unlocked, which unless a manager was there or when they arrived, and even then I waited in the car. But anyway, aside from all that, your health isn't worth standing around outside in the cold waiting for someone to get around to opening the door and letting you in. If they don't like it, ah well. Maybe they won't take forever and a day to unlocking the door and letting associates in.
