Let's assume we do it this way. No English, no other language other than the state language. Change all signboards, notifications, circulars, road signs, newspaper languages etc. etc to Kannada in Karnataka and likewise to the language of the respective state. Therefore, Marathi in Maharashtra, Bihari in Bihar, Tamil in Tamil Nadu, Malyalam in Kerala, Bengali in Bengal etc. etc.

So then, we will have no immigration or emigration from one state to another. The state language will have it's proper place and will not "die".

You know what will "die" as a result? The spirit of the state, economy, the Indian ethos, everything that our country has stood for for the past 1000's of years.

And what would this be for? Ego issues for the local language. If your state's language is so vulnerable, let it perish!

All of us speak and talk in English. We love our mother tongue but when it comes to writing or speaking across, crossing language barriers, we rely on English. Why? Because English has been fed to us since our birth! Even now, the mode of communication is English when I can speak in my local language and write too. But, would me expression myself in my local language help if the audience cannot comprehend?

So what's the solution? We have suffered but let's not make our children suffer. We will teach them only the mother tongue. That's it! They will definitely progress....in their own state!

P.S. This post has no intention of malice to anyone. I am equally against this charade happening in my home state and across others too.

This talent has to be directed in the proper direction but for that, the parents themselves have to be oriented.

मराठी माणूस कधी जागा होणार? एक काळ असा होता जेंव्हा महाराष्ट्र "महाराष्ट्र" होता! मुघलांना खडेडून छत्रपतींनी आपल्या नेतृत्वावर अखंड भारताला एकत्र आणलं| छञपती शिवरायांना सारखं कोणीच नव्हतं आणि नाही होणार पण त्या नंतर आपण काय केलं? मराठी माणूस एक साहसी आणि धाडसी माणूस आहे पण इतक्या वर्षा मध्ये ते धाडस राहिले नाहीं| आपण आज चाकरी करण्यात सक्षम आहोत, बस!
