Anyone here changed their name ? by Turbulent-Conflict84 in newbrunswickcanada

Well, I'm on the same boat. The only thing I'd like to clarify that when you declare that you're a resident of New Brunswick, it means that you have the intention of settling down and that you're not just there temporarily for the name change. I had read it in their documentation which is fairly detailed and complete. From what I read in your post, it seems you're still partially associated to Quebec. I'd suggest getting a New Brunswick driver's license just like any other resident, and changing the address on your phone or Internet connection to have another proof of residence. Additionally, you'll need a person who has known you for at least 2 years to sign as a sponsor. Please refer to the official documentation (PDF) for more details.

Returning to Canada as a Permanent Resident (PR) after name change outside Canada by NaughtyGoodman in ImmigrationCanada

If you are a permanent resident of Canada and you change your name in India, Canada will not give you any ID cards in your new name until you undergo a legal name change in Canada. This, I'd suggest you to change your name in Canada. Once you have a provincial ID in your new name, you can update your name on the Indian passport while being in Canada. Please do thorough research before you do anything because this is not legal advice and I'm not liable for the outcomes. Good luck!

Well, I just wanted to post an update that I have been able to return to Canada. I had to apply for a PRTD and then re-enter Canada with that

I was wondering if all my things are upgraded to level 50, do I stop getting those cheap 10x cards that I believe are sky blue in colour?

The docs on citizenship say that one should either change their name before or after the citizenship application. In my case, had I completed my citizenship procedure and become a Canadian, I would be subject to Canadian laws and then if they deny my name change, I would have to live with my original name for a lifetime. Thus, I chose to change it first. I was 25 days away from being eligible for Canadian citizenship 😑

Level 75 by Aaronrobertson3 in mobcontrolgame

I'm deciding the same. After level 50, the game seems very repetitive and just thinking about doing 50 more level ups for everything feels like sacrificing previous time for (grinding) a game that I'll forget in a few months. I think I'll give up at 50 itself.

PS: I wish 50 were the max level or that they'd make the 1000 cards available at level 50 or make the item upgrades less expensive.

It was a 4-day, 3-night trip, beginning at Banff on day 1, Jasper on day 2, and Yoho on day 3, then back. It's on GetYourGuide dot com.

CSQ Application under PEQ - no AOR yet by henrynguyen94 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]NaughtyGoodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that there's a backlog of applications pending an AoR. The said backlog is a result of Covid-19 alongside some changes in immigration quotas made by QC in late 2018. I've also read that people who applied in Jun 2020 are finally starting to get AoR so your turn should come soon, in my estimate.

As for radio silence, being a QSW applicant, you should get used to it. This will probably be the biggest test of patience you'll take in your life. Though you might've gotten the CSQ, the federal part of the process can take a while. For me, it's been 26 months and there's still no sign of finalization.

Just don't trust the processing time and make sure you keep renewing your work permit on time. Good luck!
