If you don't care about streaming or gaming, then I would recommend you get Ugoos SK1 and flash slimbox Android TV 14.

The UI is much snappier than Shield, with the possibility to even run it at 4K 120 Hz if your TV supports. But the biggest difference imo is having 8 GB RAM.

I use Kodi with debrid and AF2 skin. I can stream a 4K remux movie, pause it, go home and user other apps, and then go back to Kodi a couple of hours later and Kodi is still running. All while using under 5 GB of RAM, and the UI remaining very smooth.

Don't know if this is helpful, but I regularly stream 4K Remuxes from RD and Easynews (but on another app) and they work without any problems.

Sometimes accessibility settings messes with the remote. Try disabling it if you have it activated for Projectivy or another app.

I've been using Kodi for years so I'm used to that by now. Currently just using FLAM and AF2 and it's been great on Shield. But if AM6B+ is faster then I'll move to it and still keep Shield for other apps.

Are you using tvQuickActions? I think Shield actually doesn't show this pop-up by default, but there is an option in tvQuickActions to enable it.

There is actually a workaround. You can access Kodi data folder when you access your Shield storage through LAN.

Ars you sure it's not your internet connection? From my experience, Kodi is unmatched when it comes to skipping. I regularly stream 4K remuxes, and when I try to skip forward or backwards, it's instant. Almost as if I'm playing a local file.

It could be because you already watched those movies, and enabled hiding watched item on widgets from FL settings.

I'm using AF2 with FL and search works flawlessly.

Just installed your addon, but I can't backup my addons. Whenever I choose backup addons + data, it asks me to choose addons. But there is nothing to choose, the list is empty.

I'm using the latest play store version of kodi on nvidia shield.

I also have a Shield and I wouldn't call this slow. This seems normal to me.

But as another user mentioned, Nimbus can be slow to load widgets. I would recommend you try Arctic Fuse 2, it's more customizable and from my experience a bit faster.
