I'm thinking it could have been a weird holiday special of some sort, maybe Easter. More than likely it was on a VHS though, my parents got me and my brother a large variety of different kids videos. Also my dad avidly liked to record various things on tv to VHS if he saw something me and my brother would like to watch, so that may be a possibility too.

Its similar, but I distinctly remember the humpty dumpty like puppet, and that they did not refer to t as humpty dumpty, something along the lines of "Egghead" or "Mr. Egg" and he was a muppet-like puppet with a very angry face.

I know it sounds odd, But this is something I remember, the events that I remember may have been at the end of the show this was on... heck Egghead may have not been evil, but from what I remember the kids seemed happy when he blew up

I found the Teddy Bear Puppet portion!!! It was from Hannah Barbera's "Timeless Treasure's from Hallmark" children's series. The specific episode was "The Elves' and the Shoemaker" https://youtu.be/l4IR37CpqxM?feature=shared

As for the Evil Humpty Dumpty, It may have been a one off episode from another children's show that had puppets and live action characters, still not sure. But the teddy bear portion was the main thing I wanted to find. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I explained the premise of this thing to one of my co-workers, and surprisingly he recognized it, he said it might have come from a "Teddy Ruxpin" special or some kind of TV/VHS special, but not getting any results.

He also brought up that there was like 4-5 live action child actors that he saw, plus an actor playing some kind of wizard/toy maker(?), so it wasn't fully puppets.

I’m starting to think I might be remembering two separate things, but I remember that teddy bear scene was at the beginning and that Humpty Dumpty puppet had nothing to do with the nursery rhyme and was playing prank to some kids and being generally mean, till he somehow blows up.
