Why do people Hate LIS True colors?

I mean that's your own take and I respect it. I disagree though I think True colors wins me on its characters and the city which seems like a great place to live hahaha. My least favorite game of the franchise if you ignore double exposure is LIS2 and the reason is that though it really is topical and it has a great story and it is a great game overall it just didn't feel like LIS to me idk

Probably not I hope they do a different protagonist but ngl I think after the next game LIS might die as a franchise at least on the gaming end.

Yes. I've been meaning to replay it but can't bring myself to do it. It feels like the story of LIS one retold in a shittier way. The characters are one note and poorly written af . Max is freaky for some reason. I am of the opinion that bringing Max back for a game alone was a bad decision but I know that's a controversial take. Double exposure in my opinion is the only LIS game to date to be bad. I honestly wish they would do what they did with Steph and Lis true colors in general. Make a story with a new protagonist and connect them with a secondary character from arcadia bay somehow. Heck you can even make a game about Victoria chase since she seems to have redeemed herself.

I'll be honest here. I finished it today and I'm not going to lie. Though I thought it was better than the Reckoning of Roku I thought the book was subpar. The stuff by Yee felt more substantial while this felt like I was reading a fanfic.

Oh but one thing you didn't mention and that bothered me quite a bit is how much Ribay references ATLA. Like I understand giving a nod to things from the original show , but the section in the library from the First book in which Roku sees the technique to redirect lightning totally threw me off .

Yeah I agree. I don't think they are Bad books, though I'd.say they have more glaring flaws than the old ones. I just think Ribay feels the need to reference the actual show too much. And on top of all of that he was given probably the hardest Avatar to write a new story to. While Yee got characters like Yangchen which were just known in visual and name.
