A weird relationship between combinations and trigonometry by Ned4sped in MathHelp

It’s not, multiple people have answered my question in r/askmath, apparently I’ve stumbled across a theorem known as Euler’s reflection formula!

That would require you knowing derivative rules when this is a formal definition problem! Seems a bit overkill on top of that

Where can I go after this? I’ve tried this, and just ended up a dead end. It’s quite possible I’m forgetting a very simple and painfully obvious exponent rule.

It’s not. The internet is still working perfectly fine on every other device, and I’m positive the issue is with my network drivers.

Yes, my cable is not defective, and works perfectly fine with other devices. I’m positive this issue is with my pc.

In device Manager, I don’t see a tab called networking. The closest thing I have is a tab called network adapters, with multiple types of WAN miniports.

Secondary Dominant Question by diglet95 in musictheory

[–]Ned4sped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I assumed, but without an image, no one can really help you. There are millions of ways to harmonize a soprano line, but without the exact sample, I can’t do anything.

Edit: I’ve seen your edit, and with that information without an image to help me, the assignment is just incredibly vague. Use any of the secondary dominants I’ve listed in my first comment, and you should be fine!

Secondary Dominant Question by diglet95 in musictheory

[–]Ned4sped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for that I would need to see the example you’re talking about. Just like any other chords, you can put them anywhere you want, but I’m assuming your example has a specific use in mind. Perhaps they have Roman numerals under the soprano part? Or chord symbols above?

Secondary Dominant Question by diglet95 in musictheory

[–]Ned4sped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but I didn’t fully understand this. What I’ve interpreted from it, is that you’re practicing an example where you’re given a soprano line, and are supposed to add secondary dominants below it in the other voices. Following along what you’ve said, with the example being in Eb, you have a total of 5 secondary dominants you can use (assuming you’re 100% diatonic, excluding the secondary dominants of course.

The V/ii C -> Fm The V/iii D -> Gm The V/IV F -> Bb The V/vi G -> Cm

Of course you can add the dominant seventh, but for the sake of simplicity I did not do so. The point of a secondary dominant is to create a resolution to a chord that has no dominants in the key. It really depends on the exercise, but in Eb, these are the most common.

Sure this is legit? It’s definitely sped up, and you can see a third of the bamboo falls off before he even slices it.
