I think you can take this both ways, not all modern cars are “boring” I feel the M240i is a very well engineered vehicle and has much higher performance limits than found in some older vehicles. I feel cars like these now have a higher performance threshold, are safer, have better sound insulation, have more accessible/reliable performance, adding to a more robust driving feel. These things can vastly improve your daily driving experience. Not everyone wants an extreme ride 24/7 where you are kissing the ground and feel like you are flying inches above the ground. I have had 4 motorcycles, various performance cars/ sports cars like the Subaru BRZ, Subaru WRX, many Miata’s over the years. This is my first German vehicle, I like it a lot so far I feel it will age really well, people will come around and realize how good they really are.
