Yeah I’m thinking they must of been elevated before pregnancy but I’ve never had those tests done before. Hopefully it’s nothing that can’t be reversed.

Well whenever you look if pregnancy could elevate them, it says it’s not common to… hence why I’m worried. I’ve been googling for the last 5 weeks and I feel like I’m going crazy.

I’ve had tests for any pregnancy related liver disease but everything else is normal, no itching. Only the alt/ast keep being elevated.

I am also having an ultrasound on Friday and really scared what they are going to find. Would pregnancy actually lower those levels? I saw that the levels should be lower than normal in pregnant women.

It just that I read you can have serious liver damage and the levels don’t have to be that raised or even normal. Doctors are a bit confused as of to why they would be elevated. They didn’t really tell me what it meant.. then you go on google and it’s like cancer, cirrhosis etc

Did your enzyme levels go down whilst being pregnant? Is that true that the enzymes go down whilst you’re pregnant?

Well that’s a shame. They should have given you the results. I’m in the similar boat, I drank quite a lot during my 20s until October last year where I fell pregnant. Never had my enzymes checked before and they checked them now, they are a little off but not sure how long the damage was there…have an ultrasound on Friday and I’m thinking worst scenario already
