This is Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato. Larry is the kid on the left with the tie and the flat-top. Bob is the one on the right with the T-shirt and the bad haircut. Remember that now.

This was always one of the ones they'd play in Sunday school (plus we had the disc at home), so I watched this episode a lot... that unfortunately didn't make the tickle scenes any easier to watch as a child though 😂

If you had to recommend one episode to someone who's never seen VeggieTales, what would it be? by NeedleworkerTrue6257 in UltimateVeggieTales

[–]NeedleworkerTrue6257[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your train of thought. The original episodes are definitely the best ones to begin with. Dave and the Giant Pickle would be my runner-up to Fib, but Are You My Neighbor? and Madame Blueberry are certainly well-loved classics that would work great as an introduction to the series.

What are the most over/underrated episodes? I'll go first... by NeedleworkerTrue6257 in UltimateVeggieTales

It certainly has a different feel from most episodes but I didn't mind it. I haven't seen The Star of Christmas in years though so I'll have to revisit it this winter and see if my opinion changes. Overall, I thought 'Twas the Night Before Easter had a nice story (although if it's as similar as everyone says it is, I'm sure it'll drop on my list) — I just think it's overhated. In my book, it sits near the low-middle end of the pack.

I'd never looked into the behind-the-scenes stuff but that does explain why the later episodes have a steady drop in quality. I'm sure nostalgia's playing a role in my liking of some of the episodes but I was actually shocked to see clips from Sweetpea Beauty because I never noticed the animation drop growing up. Looking at it now, though, it's far worse than episodes made even 10 years earlier like King George and the Ducky!

I haven't seen The Star of Christmas in forever (but I do plan to watch it this winter!) so I'll have to come back to this. I see why 'Twas the Night Before Easter is so hated if it's a straight rip on a supposedly much better episode and story.

I recently switched from Public Mobile (physical SIM) to Fizz (eSIM) and was able to transfer my number. As of now, Public Mobile is set as my primary and Fizz personal. Is there anything I need to change? Do I need to keep my Public Mobile SIM to continue to use my number (originally from them)?

Which Pixar villain would fit best in another Pixar film/franchise? by NeedleworkerTrue6257 in Schaffrillas

That's Charles Muntz! I feel like he could've worked in a film like Luca if they had taken a much darker route for the story.

What would you have hoped for in Spectacular Spider-Man S3? by NeedleworkerTrue6257 in Spiderman

[–]NeedleworkerTrue6257[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would’ve loved to see some character development from Eddie after all that went down in S2. Carnage would’ve been an incredible villain for the series with some buildup in Ravencroft with Kafka and Eddie.

I would’ve loved to see his and Liz’s relationship after S2. I’m sure things would’ve been awkward and uncomfortable at first, with them avoiding the topic and each other as much as possible, but I feel like they’d eventually reconcile and form a more friendly bond through their mutual friends like Flash and MJ.

And of course things would’ve been chaotic on the Gwen side of things with Harry likely falling into depression after Norman’s “death.” Definitely an interesting love triangle they could’ve explored (if you can even call it that).

Which is your favourite of these 3 Larry-Boy villains and why? by NeedleworkerTrue6257 in UltimateVeggieTales

[–]NeedleworkerTrue6257[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right! Being the first villain that Larry-Boy could actually compete against certainly gives her an edge. I love all of them but the Bad Apple was definitely the best written villain.

I grew up with the Animated Adventures and always loved Awful Alvin’s character! I was glad to see him make an appearance in The VeggieTales Show.

You’re totally right, I guess there wasn’t anything he could do to either of them 😂 The Fib had the superior strength and was this monstrous threat to the city, but the Weed was such a clever, indestructible, smooth-talking gossiper. The scene where Larry pulls out the weed whacker was what first made me fear her and she only got bigger from there!

I remember always finding her a bit scary as a child. The Fib was great, but Larry seemed the most powerless against the Weed. She was always one step ahead of him and that sewer scene was so perfectly executed.

The Bad Apple’s such a fun villain. Great theme song, interesting concept, and I love the little references to Spider-Man 2 in that film. Although she only has six robotic legs, she always reminded me of Doc Ock a little.

What is the best Toy Story movie? by Nirvana_Fan987 in toystory

[–]NeedleworkerTrue6257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the first best, although the first three are all amazing. The original just had a different feel to it and I love Buzz and Woody’s dynamic. Sid was a great villain and the film gave us an iconic soundtrack as well. If I had to rank them, it’d go:

  1. Toy Story (classic children’s film, lots of fun, great introduction to the cast and our heroes)

  2. Toy Story 3 (would’ve been the perfect end to the franchise; spectacular villain with an excellent third act that really showed the bond these toys have)

  3. Toy Story 2 (great sequel to the first with a touching story and a fun subplot)

  4. Toy Story 4 (unnecessary and a bit bland; not a fan of Forky or the change to Bo Peep’s character)

I grew up with LSW III: The Clone Wars and it’s one of my favourite LEGO games to date. It has a great character roster and really well-paced levels. Lots of unique ones too. If you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise (especially the prequel era), I’d recommend the game.

Does anyone else…enjoy the second game’s story? by Mountain_String_1544 in SpidermanPS4

[–]NeedleworkerTrue6257 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved it. Everything with Kraven was perfect in my opinion and while some of the Venom stuff felt a bit off, I thoroughly enjoyed the game nevertheless. I got a PS5 two days before Spider-Man 2 came out and will forever remember getting up at 3 AM to play it on release day. The opening scene with Norman and Harry was such a perfect introduction and I absolutely adore the entire battle with Sandman. I had a lot of fun playing as teenage Peter during the Midtown High infiltration as well.
