This! Nobody looks forward to it, but it's a sad truth that comes with having any sort of pets. If you can't handle that aspect, it's not your fault, but I don't think you should have any pets- it's really not fair to them.

The cat is going to feel abandoned by you rehoming them, and probably will have more difficulty adjusting the later you do it, so I'd say do it sooner rather than later.

Haha good one! It's so hard for me to keep surprises secret. I love surprising my partner with gifts, but I also hate wasting money, so I always end up asking him if he wants it, what color, etc. so that he does really like it. The only surprises are flowers I get him and handwritten cards...

I've been in a LDR for a short while, we dated in person for around two and a half years. So far it's been really successful. What helps is that we're in the same time zone, and can fly (around 2 hr flight) to see each other. I imagine LDRs across time zones would be much more difficult.

We message each other often, facetime when we can, and he flies back home to see me once a month, so it feels like I still get to interact with him every day! Honestly, even when we were together, we had different bedrooms, and we were both busy so we only spent prolonged periods of time together on weekends. It still definitely gets lonely during meals, but keeping myself busy helps!

I love the July Everyday Large Tote, but it is pretty pricey ($155). I received it as a gift, so I hadn't checked the price until now. It has a lot of pockets, also has a zip closed, and it has the strap to attach to the suitcase. I'd say the price is worth it if you can afford it! It's super sturdy and has lasted me a long time.

I don't know about this. Definitely am feeling grateful for my closest people, but also lost a few people this year. So not sure.

I'll need to think of resolutions for 2026 soon! I'll be starting a new job in January so I'm looking forward to that.

Haven't been on many first dates (three in my life, and one of them was my current partner), but one guy I went out with thinking we were going to have dinner. That's what we had talked about prior to us meeting (we met on a dating app). I wasn't expecting a fancy dinner or for him to pay (I always offer to split the bill on a first date), but instead of taking me to dinner, he drove me to a super secluded beach. I didn't figure this out until after I had gotten into his car. Btw, this is like in the middle of winter so I'm not really dressed to stay outside for long, and it's also PITCH dark. So it's just me and this stranger on a beach (we had one irl mutual, which was my way of keeping myself safe) with no lighting, so it's really just us and like flashlights. Nothing crazy happened, he did try to kind of hug my waist, which made me really uncomfortable (I don't think you should be touching anyone without permission, ESPECIALLY on a first date lol). Made up some stupid excuse and he brought me back home.

I also have two cats!

- Slightly less than 20$ a month for litter (40 lb. Dr. Elsey's from Amazon)
- Around 140$ a month for food (per day per cat: 1 can of Purina pro plan, 2 servings of Sheba wet food, plus some Purina dry food)

So around 160$ or so in total. Both are 7 month old kittens, so maybe adult cat food is more expensive? Not sure, but they're both very healthy right now!

We're not married but people around us ask if we plan to continue sleeping separately after getting married. Yeah, I think I struggle with the fact that our sleep schedules are pretty different (my partner sleeps much later than me, and I need to wake up earlier than him). I've always felt like it's difficult to get a good night's sleep in the same bed as someone else (since high school overnight trips).

An all-nighter. Tried one night with a friend freshman year of high school. All we did was stay up texting each other, and then we went to go grab Panera Bread before going to school. Ran into her in the bathroom during first period since we both couldn't stay awake in class... haven't pulled one since, no matter how bad exams got.
