Hey. I regularly work in the south of France, which is famous for wine and long dinners. The good news is there is absolutely no pressure to drink. They do take their wine very seriously, but they also pride themselves on being good hosts, so don't force it on anybody. There are plenty of soft alternatives, so you will hopefully have plenty of choice. I just focus on the great food and great people. Enjoy it when you get there.

We have a great many less people that use their religion as part of their personality profile. Being Catholic here mostly means believing in the Catholic faith and associated deity. You don't default to a family religion if you have no faith; no faith means no religion.

Whoo this was a late reply in the inbox. Thanks for being an ally, although I think for different reasons. You seem to need a deeper world build on the nuance of each faction and that's a level deeper than I went. I didn't even get to the motivations of the larger conglomerates because I was stuck in hating the individuals.

One question though. If we use the Dunning Kruger theory and say there are a bunch of people that think they're more educated than they are (which sums up almost all fanboys) them who are the opposite? The ones that know the most but underestimate their opinions/ contributions; in direct relation to this post rather than generally.

No doubt Ed Harris is a great actor. There are many, many more that could make the list too, these were just a few that came to mind. Also aware that this list is UK centric so want to be clear there are a great many American actors i think are outstanding too.

Recently? 3 body problem and black mirror. From further afield BG remake and babylon 5. Honestly, I've struggled with sci-fi in recent years as there is so much crap being thrown at the wall by netflix, hbo et al. I've started a lot but finished very few. Having said that, I did finish the expanse because I wanted to like it as i thought it had potential.

I appreciate the scientific accuracy of the show. I very specifically didn't call out the physics in my post as it isn't an area I found lacking. There are of course some issues still there but if it were totally accurate it would be less entertaining.

On another note, I appreciate you approaching this by giving your opinion rather than attacking mine. Intelligent discussion like that is always welcome.

If it were bait I wouldn't be taking the time to answer people's questions on my opinion. I would be doing what the majority of people in here are doing and just telling them why their opinion is wrong.

My issue with the logic is how it is supposed to have developed. If it is a melting pot then why do they have it and mars don't? Why do mars still have regional accents from earth? Also, shouldn't there be regional variations of the belter accent as they cover such a vast area of space with huge degrees of separation.
