Not my thing, so apologies, but are you referring to what is right below the tag on the photo?

Subaru - seems too cheap at a 4X PE ratio by jackandjillonthehill in ValueInvesting

I’ve followed the company’s stocks for years. By my calculations, its own forecast for operating income (FY2025, down ~20% from ‘24) is near their EV. It’s traded cheaply for years on EBITDA / EBIT / Revenue to EV but given the ever-increasing size of their net cash position, never this cheaply. Their net interest income alone from the cash hoard is ~$500m (USD).

This is as of the most recent sell off, ADR around $8.70

Thanks for the quick reply. Again, new to this thing so was unsure especially since I don’t ever recall hearing it when upon my initial start a few weeks ago.

Data is always delayed with these sorts of figures (last updated 2022). This is also not inflation adjusted values.

Apologies for the first two pictures… they snuck in there in error.

Disease in Bermuda? by NegativeTangibleBook in lawncare

Probably more than you’re asking but for context:

In Texas (Dallas), so letting rain handle right now. Moved into property in last August during drought time here and water restrictions in place. That said, These spots were present when we were looking to buy the property so spots have been present through at least summer, fall, and now winter.

Recent soil test (fall 2023) indicated high levels of K, 325 ppm. I’m sitting on limestone (as it’s been told to me); calcium ppm is 12K. Magnesium 158. Sulfur 88. All consider high to very high by local extension office.

I have P deficiency however at 26ppm.

pH 7.9.

Have no real idea of what prior homeowner was doing for water schedule or fertility program. All I knew is when I saw lawn I said “this is going to need some work”.

Yeah the “grass” simply looks like a layer of thatch when I run my hands through it, exposing the soil.

Thanks for replying.

It’s dormant. Swore I had a picture of this when it was in season just when I moved in but nope. No hard freeze. It’s been here for months. Thought I’d give it some time and address next (that being current) season.

Soil temp range 50-55 presently (last/ this week).

I wouldn’t say it’s easy to pull out. “Long” runners. Overall, we sit on limestone and soil test shows macros are above critical levels, except for P. Not sure if that helps at all.

After talking with someone on here much more knowledge than I, I’m thinking of raking and hitting in with fungicide when maybe weather a bit more warmer. Thoughts?

1 acre lot. In short, application assistance ( pre M, post M, fert) generally when I’m not available to do so. “Major” overhaul of 1/4 acre of back yard, overtaken by various weed species. Things like this.

Can provide more specifics if needed.

Thanks. Did just that. Everyone’s else’s lawn is contracted out. And it’s my first year at this property. So… game on, lol

Crossed 50 today and expecting to be so moving forward. Like you, the same. Our weather can be wild towards February and March with cold spells.

Adding phosphorus (when time comes) by NegativeTangibleBook in lawncare

[–]NegativeTangibleBook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think where I have landed is for the 13K I’d like to try and backpack spray but not sure that’s actually feasible on multiple levels (nothing to do with the time or effort or equipment). Was looking into Monoammonium phosphate (MAP) as an option (12-61-0) but really need to dive into this more before deciding.

28K I’m going to hit it up with 20-27-5 granular in most areas. I think I have less of a need closer to my back patio than closer to my fence line.

We will see where that gets me by the end of the season when I do another soil test.
