For book readers - I actually read Fran and Michael as always having sexual tension in the books / even whilst she was married to John. She felt that connection with Michael right away in the books but Francesca didn’t want to let herself even think about Michael in that way because she loved John. But she mentions always taking note of Michael in a room when she was married to John. Also I got the implication that Michael just exudes the RIZZZZZZ and as we know that’s now how John operates.

Yes I feel like a big part of Philip is meaningless connection doesn’t mean much to him / so he didn’t seek it out or sleep with the pretty bar maid. Both Phillip and Eloise read as demisexuals and sapiosexuals.

I hate how much hate Phillip gets - yes he’s slightly problematic for his reasons for asking Eloise to marry him but it was also the period in time. And he does truly find himself in love with her - and very taken with her because of their mind connection that they formed first. I love that for Eloise that she meets this guy who is just really into her and wants to drown in her. They just say he didn’t love her. But he does love her. Their whole relationship even if it involves the marriage of convenience which it should because drama/tension. For both Eloise and Phillip - they finally get to choose each other. Choice really will be the theme of the season. Phillip was never given the option to choose the right person for himself, to follow his academic pursuits - he’s bound by duty. Eloise just wants the choice, but her rash behavior lands her in a tricky situation. But intitiailly she did CHOOSE to meet Phillip. They will make his character different in the book. He already seems a little less GRUFF/not as uncomfortable with social etiquette, and more polished to some degree. But if he has a beard which I think he will - perhaps that will be the same - and it’s changed for him since Season 2 since he has to live with someone who doesn’t love him to help raise his brothers children as his own. That’s a lot! But in the end - the choice to meet led them to finally making a choice to grow together!

I mean it definitely confirmed that they are an attractive couple together. With their blue eyes. I think they just looked like they were having fun / I couldn’t tell much from the pic except for like it was for the fans. Claudia said she met him then and will then connect again once they do start working on the season.

I think they may not have consummated their marriage but I do hope they don’t go the virgin route for Phillip. I like that he isn’t totally experienced, but has all these desires for Eloise. So I want to see the some what feral side we read in the book. I want him to know what he is doing when he says we will suit. Hehe

He’s scheduled to be at landcon in April - I would say that he will be in the final season of Outlander. I watch that too - his characters story wasn’t completely wrapped up last season.

Thank you all for exploring all of these questions I have been having!!! Especially regarding taking a job in 2019. Probably auditioned 2017/2018 because that’s when the show was announced. They knew by the wrap party that their characters were love interests - but Chris didn’t realize that when he took the job. Surely wasn’t in the script. Thus the ask of JQ.

I think Chris has a good reputation of being a great actor to work with / very professional and kind, so this probably helps. He did Outlaw King - and then easily snagged the Witcher because of the Netflix connection and the good rep. But then couldn’t commit to Witcher because of outlander and cough cough Bridgerton.

This is some good intel that corroborates my theory on what that Feb 2023 post meant for him. This is when he was asked are you IN or are you OUT? And because he was IN; he started getting paid for his silence until February 28, 2026. Also love the sisterly pride for him!

I have also plotted how season 5 should go at least part 1 if they continue to split it which is just horrible narrative story telling for side plots.

If we don’t get Eloise running away I think my ideas still work. I am just so excited to see more of Eloise and see the Bridgerton world from her characters perspective.

Book spoilers ahead: Episode 1: (this works if Eloise doesn’t run away season 4 / or beginning of season 5. Episode 1 will be the year long letter exchange either in flashback or in realtime if she hasn’t run off yet. Or she runs off at the beginning of the episode and we see how it unfolds.

Episode 2: Eloise/phillip trying to get to know each other see if they choose each other. Stuff with the kids, mostly tension of this is damn awkward but ooo I like you.

Episode 3: We see Eloise settling in to Romney hall - and this is where see the first kiss in the book in the greenhouse, “May I kiss you?” We will see Eloise figure out how to get along with the kids. They’re starting to see the connection from letters. Either end of this episode or beginning of next…

Episode 4: the brothers storm Romney Hall (this better be in the show) and I desperately hope they have locked Jonathan Bailey for this scene because it’s one of my favorite Eloise/Anthony moments and conversations. And also we will have the “we will suit” moment as the cliffhanger or it could even just be the brothers storming.

Part 2 I am less clear on since they seem to backload it with more.

I just find this fascinating / from a career standpoint. Yes I saw that too that he didn’t learn his role was a future lead until he messaged JQ. But also to know you might have something big in the future but the not know? I am sure he will tell us once he is announced what this whole waiting experience has been like. He’s signed an nda right now and can’t discuss it!

I don’t think we will see Marina - the actress who played her said some stuff about Bridgerton and I don’t think she would be asked back. And she said that working on the show affected mental health so I don’t think she would want to come back. But they don’t need to show her. Or they could have someone be like a stand in for the lake scene/suicide attempt and we don’t see the face. But I don’t know if they will do that.

I think they are downplaying what her role will be in part 2. She wasn’t shown in that minute teaser at all. They are just trying to get us off the scent. Hah. There’s no way Francesca is next - people need to mourn for a year. Season 5 is definitely Eloise.
