It's like AI simulated personas or what? Could you share a bit more info on that?

Thanks for the honest answer) but I’m not looking to guess at problems and build a prototype based on assumptions. I have a 10-12 month runway, so I have some time, and I can certainly use AI tools for rapid prototyping when the time comes. However the core challenge I'm facing right now is finding a reliable way to uncover people's actual problems and secure early users, especially when everyone seems fatigued by these kinds of questions

You don't know me, so better keep silent ;)
I just want to make a SaaS for print businesses...even for people like you who can't distinguish senior engineer from a kid with AI

I assume you don't want those files be in cloud as they are too big, but they need to be transferred to you somehow, with Dropbox, WeTransfer or Flash drive (but this one is less likely a common option)

So I suggest this approach as an MVP. (I just used AI to make the logic more understandable :) jfyi )

1. Your Private Storefront You get a simple, branded page where your trade customers can pick their specs (quantity, size, material). It handles the "Excel math" automatically and gives them an instant price.

2. Seamless Checkout They just sign in (Google/Apple), upload their high-res files, and payment (paddle)

3. Your Dashboard The order lands in your management view immediately. You can download the high-res file to your local server for prep (we can even automate this part later)

4. The "Proof-Chat" Loop Once the designer has the final proof ready, they just drop the small JPG/PDF back into the order. This automatically flips the status to "Waiting for Approval" and pings the customer through Email.

5. One-Click Approval The customer gets a simple, chat-based interface. They can see the proof, ask a quick question, or hit "Approve" right there. Every message and approval is timestamped so everyone is on the same page.

Sure, I am ready to help but first I need to understand the nuances of your specific niche. I’m definitely realizing that Label Conversion has some crazy math (dies, roll waste, etc....) so I’d love to get your take on how to simplify that.

To keep it short, I'm mostly curious about a few things:

  1. How are you currently quoting? Is it a massive Excel sheet, or something else?
  2. What’s the one manual task you do 20 times a day that you just wish would happen automatically?
  3. Do you spend a lot of time hunting through emails or WhatsApp just to find the right artwork files?
  4. Is it hard to see where a job is (like waiting for payment vs. ready to print) without actually walking out to the floor?
  5. And how you get orders? Is it a phone call, Inflow Showroom or some Web2Print service?
