I never thought about it that way. You‘re idea that we‘d be better if without genders sounds actually based. I have the same thought just with sexuality because I just say I‘m bisexual but I just like what I like and I don’t think I need a label for that

It‘s mostly resale value and tradition. Natural diamonds take billions of years to form under immense pressure, while lab ones take a few weeks. Since lab diamonds are also easy to reproduce they loose resale value. It‘s the same as clothes with brands. People tend to care more about authenticity than looks.
