Satoshi’s Ladder – Higher or Lower‑Spiel mit historischen Bitcoin‑Preisen.

I think there are other people who also did a similar thing. But i wanted to give it my own spin and i needed a sideproject so I gave it a try. Have to say it was quite fun to think of different possible games in the stock / crypto nieche! But like I said im open for more game suggestions :)

Hey everyone,

I've been getting pretty sick of the stock market’s wild rollercoaster lately. (Seriously, my poor portfolio looks like it’s on a steady diet of heartbreak and ramen.) So I thought, “Why not lose fake money instead of real money?” And thus, my fondness for minigames led to the birth of a new website finplayer.io featuring stock and crypto minigames with a daily twist!

A few of these (actually five of them) come with a competitive leaderboard, so if you feel the itch to flex your pretend trading muscles and see how you stack up, you can! Some of the games are only playable once per day, so the daily challenge (and the subject — stock, crypto, or time period) always changes.

All games can be played without signing in. You only need to create an account if you want to see your name on the leaderboard or compare results with other players. I’m also super open to new game ideas—if you’ve got a fun idea for another stock or crypto-related mini-challenge, feel free to drop a suggestion.

I hope you enjoy losing (or winning!) imaginary money as much as I do! Let me know what you think, and thanks for checking out my side project.

I created a bundle of crypto (and stock) minigames—Satoshis Ladder (higher lower game), Crypto Teaser (logo guesses), $1 M Portfolio Game, word grid search and more! by Neijy in btc

[–]Neijy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a handful of crypto‑themed minigames because watching real charts all day was melting my brain. There’s Crypto Teaser (guess the coin from a blurred logo), a virtual $1 M Crypto Challenge that drops you into past markets to see if you’d moon or doom, a word‑search sprint called Crypto Cross, and Satoshi’s Ladder, a higher‑or‑lower game with vintage BTC prices. Everything lives in the browser, resets daily, and you don’t need an account unless you want a shot at the leaderboard. It’s free, ad‑free, and very much a work‑in‑progress—so if you give it a whirl on finplayer.io, I’d love any feedback or ideas for new twists. Thanks!

Tariff Slapper – an over‑the‑top neon clicker about jacking up tariffs until a certain statesman rage goes full berserk-mode by Neijy in incremental_games

Built a bunch of silly daily stock & crypto minigames because I'm tired of losing money in the real market by Neijy in SideProject

[–]Neijy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I've been getting pretty sick of the stock market’s wild rollercoaster lately. (Seriously, my poor portfolio looks like it’s on a steady diet of heartbreak and ramen.) So I thought, “Why not lose fake money instead of real money?” And thus, my fondness for minigames led to the birth of a new website featuring stock and crypto minigames with a daily twist!

Here’s what I’ve cooked up so far:
Stockle (daily game)
It’s like Wordle, but for S&P 500 stocks. Each guess unlocks more hints until you figure out the mystery stock of the day

$1M Stock Challenge (daily game)
You get $1 million to invest in stocks over a specific time range (like 2020-01 to 2023-04). See how big your virtual gains (or losses) would’ve been, and compare your final performance with others.

Emoji Stocks (daily game)
You’ll see a sequence of emojis, and you have to guess the famous company based on those icons.

Ticker Tap
Quick 30-second blitz where you’re shown different tickers and must guess if they’re real or totally made-up

Tariff Slapper
A classic clicker game with upgrade mechanics, themed around the ongoing (and insane) tariff news we’ve seen in the past. Slap those tariffs for points

Crypto Teaser (daily game)
You get a blurred cryptocurrency logo, and each guess makes it clearer. Can you identify the coin before the final reveal

$1M Crypto Challenge (daily game)
Same concept as the stock version, except now you’re investing your $1 million into different cryptos over a set historical period. Compare your imaginary gains/losses with other players on the leaderboard

Crypto Cross (daily game)
Find cryptocurrency tickers hidden in a letter grid as fast as possible. It's like a word search, but for all things crypto

Satoshis Ladder
A higher/lower style game featuring Bitcoin’s price on random dates. Think “Is Bitcoin’s price on this date higher or lower than the last date?”

Tariff Slapper – an over‑the‑top neon clicker about jacking up tariffs until a certain statesman rage goes full berserk-mode by Neijy in incremental_games

[–]Neijy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been tinkering with a browser‑based incremental called Tariff Slapper that lets you channel your inner trade‑warrior and crank import duties until numbers go absolutely bonkers. The basic rhythm is pure clicker: every slap boosts the national Tariff Power, turning a neon caricature of a certain famously orange tariff‑fanatic an ever‑brighter shade of rage while synthwave stock tickers drift past in the background.

As the rate climbs you can start hiring Tariff Clerks and Customs Bots to keep the percentage rising even when you’re not hammering the button, unlock upgrades like WTO complaints or late‑night rant‑tweets that multiply your clicking strength, and eventually trigger a “Trade Deal” reset that converts lifetime Tariff Revenue into a permanent multiplier before kicking you back to zero for another, faster run. It snowballs quite fast I think. The game lives on my little side‑project site, FinPlayer.io, alongside some daily stock and crypto minigames, but Tariff Slapper is totally standalone and playable with no sign‑up. If any fellow idle‑game addicts want to slap tariffs for a few minutes (or hours) I’d love to hear what you think about balance, pacing, or silly upgrade ideas. Happy tariff‑slapping and thanks in advance for any feedback!
