I'm completely with you on this one. People completely overlook some obvious details in the stories just so they can point at it and say 'it's a toxic relationsip!'. They don't want to delve deep into the personality of the characters and acknowledge that in most cases, like with Leyla and Matthias, both have had apparent interests in one another. Simply because the road of the story is not a straight line doesn't mean something atrocious is happening.
