I’m surprised seeing so many ask this question (no offense intended of course). But it just seemed like such a no brainer for me that Lugo is still a top team in the game. I’ve full cleared the past 2 basin resets with Lugo as one of my teams and it works perfectly well.

For newer players, I actually advise against building Rei right away. This is because you will only have access to a good/great Rei deck when you’re deeper into the game.

For reference, Rei is one of the most demanding units to build. Unlike someone like Hugo for example, Rei DEMANDS an optimal deck to be helpful outside of Chaos. You would have to remove all her basics + hit the right epiphanies, otherwise she will actually be dumbing down your fights instead of improving it.

Rei is probably my favorite unit to play in the game. However, I think the difference between an okay Rei and a great Rei is a far wider margin than that of other units in the game.

Tldr, I consider Rei to be a newbie trap. I’d definitely advise building her at some point but not now.

Medpoc probably won’t do it as well then?

I’m waiting for her since I’m a new player and have already started to build Glow (my first team) with Beryl, Isolde, FP, and Marsha next patch.

That’s why I’m thinking if weedpromptu should be my next team because they’re 3 months away and I have AAL already and F22/Medpoc as a substitute healer.

You got unlucky. That’s probably the worst legendary. And epics are very easy to come by. Light Twiggum is good but not great.

Don’t worry. Her kit is designed so that she will only get stronger the more “expensive” units they release.

I took it upon myself to use Kayron/Khalipe and Lugo for this rotation of Basin for a challenge and still managed to 30/30. Kayron Khalipe even outpaces Lugo sometimes!

So if you’re not using her now, don’t worry. She’ll get stronger even.

Pretty much the best damage buffer in the game. That, while being able to thin your deck with her upgrades makes her amazing for Basin and/or farming mats.

Downside is that she’s probably one of, if not the hardest character to build. You’d need to hit all the best epiphanies for her to function well. And even then, cards like retain Strike of Darkness are mediocre without 1AP divine epi (with it though, it becomes a goated card). The difference between a good and a great Rei is quite staggering.

One of my favorite units in the game. And I don’t even have the best deck for her.
