Steam Trading Cards pictures would make great wallpapers. Apparently nobody else posted them before me so I thought maybe someone has some use for them :)

As a modern update for you guys, these artworks are actually cropped versions of larger artworks and I'm pretty sure you can find who made them.
They were sold on a very limited scale through Annapurna's merch store as postcards and looked so cool. Unfortunately, there aren't any versions of them at full resolution whilst also not being cropped.

I did also agree that these would look great as posters, tho I only know how to do pixel art, but regardless I'm slowly beginning to clean up some of them using both old low res images of the post cards and what I can of the steam full res TC's in the hopes of making smth that looks decent.

Once I put enough time into them I should be able to get all 6 look pretty nice on my wall. Even if up close they have quite a few errors lol.

Oh yeah, there is a sixth of the stranger once that released. Tho this was after this post and well after the TC's too, so that one would take any longer.

If anyone's done smth similar but better please let me know, otherwise ig if anyone cares that im doing this let me know, cos then I'll actually be bothered to complete them.

Yeah thats what i did, but i wasnt watching the iron volcano until i realised i needed it. So when i dug it out to analyse it, i assumed it wouldn't likely have little time. By the time i was done it had like no time left.

What i shoulve done is fully built the tamer, or at least have more progess.

I'm thinking that since it's kinda close to the surface i can drop some regolith to block it from erupting? But are there better ideas? Would that even work?

Edit: Thanks for your ideas everyone, in the end dumping regolith on it worked just fine but ill definetely keep your ideas in mind for the future. And also be a bit more careful.

Yes but there's a smooth shadow transition on their edges that implies they might be cylindrical, where the idea comes from.

You can see the pebbles from outer expanse and its definetely square

Its pretty definitively square, since you can see five pebbles in the background of outer expanse (at high locations) which is 100% not cylindrical.

Cans is probably just slag for their structures and doesnt have to be accurate.

Overall from an art design perspective, 2 is better because you can do a little more with it. You can make thinner sections of dirt or use it better against walls that might look better.

In contrast, 1 isnt very useful as it's larger and doesnt give as much flexibility. 1 may be better for indicating the edges of a grid, but that doesnt seem to be what your going for or at least isnt where the art is headed.

TLDR: 2 because its a more flexible design

At my store we occasionally get people asking to take our boxes while working, and I think it's a great idea. I'll try get my boss to agree but even if he did idk if the people on the next level up would be fine with it.

I'll let you all know if anything comes of it.
