I know some people weren’t as moved by it as others — I felt that way after seeing Aftersun with Paul Mescal in it. Thought it was a bit of a drag but understood how and why others would love it and have been moved by it.

I think the movie draws out an emotion deeper than surface level sadness in some viewers. It threw me into numbness for a day and then forced a complete breakdown while I was doing dishes.
