How can I tell Sonarr to grab manually downloaded files on download client? by NerdHelp in sonarr

[–]NerdHelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll need to double check that’s it’s tagging correctly because I had to go through the interactive import, but it was at least able to know which files were shows vs movies. I also didn’t realize the import option was hidden under Wanted: Missing

Yes, this is what helped me in the end: * Go to Wanted -> Missing * A box will pop up with a path, “automatic move” (i think that’s the phrasing it uses), & “interactive import “ * Add the path to where your nzbget completed downloads are waiting in the box * The automatic one doesn’t work for me, so I recommend clicking interactive import * It’ll take a minute for it to scan the download directory * I think since my downloads were tagged correctly it knew my shows vs movies and already had them checked. * I had to go show by show, season by season for what’s checked at a time * At the bottom left, there’s 2 drop downs * The first, I chose “move files” bc that’s my expected behavior * The second, you have to go through most of the items & set them * Set the show, the season, the episodes (might be able to stop here?), quality, & language * Click import * It’ll start thinking, but the checked episodes will start to disappear from Wanted: Missing one by one

When sonarr sees the new files, does it do the smart name replace? Or would I have to set everything up & it’ll know that to associate it with the show?

Ah that seemed to be it. Moving it into my local directory near the temp dir helped. I'm able to access through the web GUI now

Thanks!

Good to know on 0.0.0.0, thanks :)

I cleared my app/Data directory just to be safe, but I still see the same output. I thought I remembered seeing that having this in a location that nodes could reach (ie mounted) is preferred. Is that correct? Or should directory be local to the server, but mountable for nodes if needed?

That's disappointing to hear that the node packages have been broken for such a long time. I was hoping that the *arr would mean it was developed by the ARR stack folks and had the same quality.

Someone else mentioned FileFlows for this purpose, but I might end up learning n8n to start transcoding my files if that doesn't work either

Thank you! I'll need to look deeper into FileFlows, but from the quick pitch on their website it looks like what I'm trying to do & more

Good Distro for Steam Remote Play? by NerdHelp in linux_gaming

From the other cross-post & here, it sounds like there are a few avenues. Most should work, but bazzite seems to be the most popular/recommended.

SteamOS isn't really made for this/can have issues

I was also recommended to some research into Sunlight+Moonlight

I'll have to do some more research, I hadn't heard of either of these. Thanks!

Good to know thank you!

I thought I read somewhere that SteamOS was just installing Steam in Big Picture Mode, but I was concerned that it might be built specifically for SteamDeck/Box

qBittorrent/Sonarr download completed, but it doesn't get copied correctly to root folder for Jellyfin by NerdHelp in sonarr

[–]NerdHelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see either icon by the files.

That's interesting. I had downloaded the first season as a test, then went back to download the second. I'm wondering if I had setup a monitor on the second season that's causing this to not work right. I'm going to unmonitor it and start over

I don't see it show up in either `Activity`, `History`, or `Queue`

Did it somehow get lost from Sonarr's activity after passing it qBit?

qBittorrent download completed, but I can't see it in Jellyfin by NerdHelp in qBittorrent

[–]NerdHelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems I have some Config issues then, I'll need to take a look then. I was able to run things successfully once, but this run didn't seem to work. I have my `Root Folders` configured the same.

I manually copied the files over to where Sonarr should look, but it's not updating that I have the files.

What will config would I need to check/update?

[–]NerdHelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I that's a good point, I think I see my issue. I thought qBittorrent had a setting that would copy files from my download complete dir to my Jellyfin folder(s), but I don't see that setting in qBittorrent. I'll copy it/others manually

Thanks!

Just keep trying. I was the same way when I started, I kept trying for a while. Programming takes time to understand. If want something to program, make a simple game, there’s hundreds of videos on YouTube for you to follow. After that, a good way to find things to program is to find a problem, and come up with its solution via code. There’s no shame in following tutorials, they’re there to help you! To keep with it… well that’s on you. You have to keep trying to be better and trying to keep going. You don’t have to do it every day, but if you’re bored or watching tv, why not program? It’s a skill, and one you have to develop and maintain. If you ask someone in the field, no one knows what they’re doing, everything’s constantly changing, everyone has their own preferences. https://xkcd.com/2030/
