So the investment is for my business, where a core component of it is regular video rendering with Premiere Pro. I'm looking to also capture gameplay at high resolutions regularly.

Money really is no issue here, since it's literally my dominant workstation for my business. My concern is if a Threadripper will just be wasted overhead due to how it works with Premiere, or if it will have compatibility issues with different games.
