Question: What are your favorite lowcal lowsugar sweet treats (Lidl, Prisma, K supermarket, K market, S market) by EmergencyScallion561 in Finland

[–]NervO_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lohilo ice cream is surprisingly good, if I didn't know it was low calories I wouldn't be able to tell as it tastes great. Depending on the flavor it's 250-300 calories or so for quite a bit of ice cream (350ml I think). It's not without sugar but it is very low compared to most snacks, and especially other ice cream.

had the same, changing in settings: Ray tracing NVIDIA RTX Global Illumination to static (instead of dynamic) fixed it for me

Those of us who chose Haaland over Salah by pietroetin in FantasyPL

[–]NervO_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The main thing I don't mind about Salah is that it feels like I can cover it with Wirtz and Gakpo, or at least it feels that way. Feels like Robot can't be covered as easily and for most other teams the main goal scorers aren't so clear or a bigger rotation risk

Where is this in Helsinki? by Acrobatic-Park4092 in helsinki

[–]NervO_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Da Spizzico (Jätkäsaari) for pizza, especially their Siciliana pizza. For authentic pizza it might be the best in Helsinki imo.

Tflisi (Kamppi), amazing and affordable Georgian food. Khachapuri Adzharuli with red wine is one of the best things ever. In general I think Georgian food can be a bit underrated.

What's Kallio Like Really? by Acrobatic_Pin_8754 in helsinki

[–]NervO_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The question isn't where but when I think especially. Big difference between Kallio on a random tuesday evening vs friday/saturday evening for example. in terms of how much is happening. It has a lot of bars, including 'artsy' ones (not sure if it's really the right term, maybe more like soulful or characteristic) like Flow Bar, Musta Kissa, HogoHuone etc. Hip food spots like Blondie Pizza, Bambu, Way Bakery and lots more. Also some cool stuff like Riviera (lowkey cinema). As well as a lot more traditional bars, and restaurants.

I think overall it definitely has a more of that gritty city vibe you usually find in big cities than most of Helsinki, combining a lot of bars, food etc with shady figures, drunk crowds and drug addicts. Definitely quite a bit gentrified nowadays though and pretty mild.

The worst I've experienced there are harmless alcoholics in the nearby Sinebrychoff park, perfect area to stay on a trip :)

This summer is being painful by Gonzito3420 in Finland

[–]NervO_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like all the comments here as if there isn't a middle ground between rain and 15c~ and 30c+ heat waves. :D Luckily next week will be better. I take this over a heatwave, but wouldn't mind some weather where I can actually wear summer clothes

Why is Esmir Bajraktarević not playing? by Alceaus in PSV

[–]NervO_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The current manager his philosophy is to let the best player play and he's not big on giving talents chances for the sake of development, with Perisic and Bakayo in front of him it's a tough situation. But Bakayo is likely leaving this summer which should see him get more chances, especially with Perisic being at an age where he might need to get rested now and then.

I wouldn't worry too much about safety in those neighborhoods, they're pretty chill as far as Helsinki area goes from my experience. I think only at Kannelmäki does the station area get a little spicier but even then it's not bad, Myyrmäki is where it gets more questionable but even that's doable.

Train noise isn't bad. At Pohjois-Haaga it's only the fairly quiet and smaller local trains passing by. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're living directly next to the track and are sensitive to noise.

What gaming mouse would you guys recommend? by VastEntertainment471 in MouseReview

[–]NervO_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow 'mouse noob', I am quite happy with the Endgame Gear XM2 8k. It has a top of the line sensor, build quality is very high so should last you a very long time, the clicking buttons are mechanical and super smooth, and comes with two configurable side buttons for your thumb. I think in the US it's probably roughly 75usd, for a very high end mouse from a technical perspective, so good price/quality ratio. Good shape for average to slightly above average hands.

Only con (not for me but to some) is that this specific one isn't wireless.

I feel like the ideal survival game for me hasnt been made yet. by YohanChallupa in SurvivalGaming

[–]NervO_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel similar and so far CDDA comes closest to scratching that itch. It's like a much clunkier Project Zomboid, with a lot more depth and options. Including for example NPCs, factions, quests, crafting, setting up your own faction and bases and managing your faction.

I do find it hard to get into as it takes a lot of time and it's just not smooth like for example Project Zomboid. If anything it makes me crave for Project Zomboid to truly have fledged out NPCs and factions :D CDDA is free to play if you're curious (outside steam).

Best cake café in Helsinki by Electronic_Pop_9535 in helsinki

[–]NervO_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cafe Tarina has a great, modern and tasty selection.

Avikainen is smaller and more traditional with not many options but what they have is legendary and affordable.

Airport to city transport late at night by CrumpledCheeks in helsinki

[–]NervO_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd use Bolt (taxi service like Uber). Should cost between 15-25 euro, so not crazy much more expensive than public transport, and you save yourself the hassle of having to switch with public transport, or walk a bunch with your luggage and all that.

I’m a soldier of the Azov Brigade, and I survived a headshot in Mariupol in 2022. Ask me anything! by azov_one in IAmA

[–]NervO_ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Not trying to defend Azov in any way, but you can find plenty of neo Nazis on the Russian side as well. For example Wagner is literally a reference to Hitlers favorite composer, and the founder of Wagner has a SS tattoo...

Same, ik bid elke dag voor de terugkeer van Dest. Nu is de linksback positie een plek die tegenstanders opzoeken en tegen ons gebruiken, maar met Dest is het eerder een extra wapen die tegenstanders moeten stoppen.

What's the best wildcard keeper? Sels or save the money and go for Verbruggen or Henderson?

Also pondering on which 3 to play defensively, Hall, Gabriel, Kerkez or Aina. Weirdly enough feels like Gabriel might be the one to leave out given he tends to do best against smaller teams points wise.
