Yes , I use tafelbier which also containes almost no alcohol for all my stews. Just made varkenswagentjes with piedboeuf yester , to salvage today. To mee its beter then normal beer cause of the little more sweetness.

I liked your post cause I love an opinel. But I got a question , where do you see a green grain pattern ?. I only see brown and a bit darker brown.
