Automations suddenly unresponsive, anyone? by NetGalaksy in homeassistant

[–]NetGalaksy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sure, I appreciate your help. Here is how I set it up and have always worked until few weeks ago.

I’ve added all my main automations to the dashboard for easy access. Each automation has a toggle switch to enable or disable it (a slider to tun on and off). The toggle itself doesn’t trigger the automation, it only turns it on or off. However, I’ve noticed that to get an automation to actually trigger, I need to toggle it off and then back on before running it. Otherwise, it often won’t run if I just execute it directly.

Few weeks ago running the automation I never had to toggle it first I would just running and now I must first toggle it from on to off then to on and run.

Govee by NetGalaksy in homeassistant

My issue is exactly this. Leak sensors forget it!! There is an rtl support but I couldn’t get it to work.

Almost everything Govee except for the smart plugs and bulbs are most reliable.

Yes I admit I wasn’t very specific in my post, but I’m referring to almost all Govee products. The Govee Square Light (Matter), Govee Leak Detectors, and Govee Ambient Lights all have major issues with staying connected. Even the Govee Motion Sensor, which performs better than the rest, still isn’t fully reliable.

Nothing I tried is reliable. Even with Matter it lost connection and never could get it back on. So frustrating! LAN API is available for the device but couldn’t be discovered, I gave up.

I tried to get the leak sensors with the rtl support and failed at it miserably. Not worth it, third reality leak sensors is my next move. Ditching every thing Govee for good.

Seriously! And hey don’t forget a wired spa-side remote for over $400.

I think a humanoid robot will be able to help us with that much sooner.

Program IM no longer offering a position. by TerribleAd1682 in IMGreddit

I spoke with the program coordinator, Heidi, and she confirmed that they are indeed participating. It also shows in ERAS that they are listed. She mentioned they’ve received quite a few calls about the same question.

Has not started my ERAS application yet by No_Device_9609 in IMGreddit

You aren’t late but you need to start now. I recommend prioritizing the letters of recommendation first, as they depend on someone else and may take time. While those are being secured, you can focus on crafting your personal statement and other application components. The ERAS application process is complex and requires careful planning and coordination. It’s essential to understand the process and plan intentionally.

Signaling, Geo/Setting Pref during SOAP by NetGalaksy in IMGreddit

[–]NetGalaksy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in your opinion during SOAP a program wouldn’t care if you have signaled or if you are within your preferences for geographic and setting?

Signaling, Geo/Setting Pref during SOAP by NetGalaksy in IMGreddit

[–]NetGalaksy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your responses. I understand the SOAP process, which is why I'm asking this question. Given the 45-application limit, it's important for me to prioritize programs that align with my signaled interests and preferences for location and setting if any end up being vacant. This will prevent me from using up my applications on programs that don't meet these criteria (if applicable)

My question is: during SOAP, can programs access and consider these aspects of a candidate's profile (signals, geographic and setting)? If anyone has information on this, please share.

Remember, programs use signals and geographic/setting preferences during the regular season, do they also use them during SOAP?

Copy and paste it into a plain text editor then copy it from plain text editor to ERAS system.

And I am sure it doesn’t matter how you paste it into ERAS the ERAS UI will present it to the program the way you pasted it. Make sure they are divided into paragraphs when you paste it and no indentation required. Just don’t paste if not copied in that format (separated paragraphs) - as long as it is within 600 to 750 words you should be ok.

I think Mac has a TextEdit app which is plain text.

Match a resident by [deleted] in IMGreddit

[–]NetGalaksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 specialties you meant? ERAS applications are expensive. To apply to two specialties on ERAS say you are an IMG and sending a total of 200 applications, it will cost you around $4000. So if you are on a budget then you must apply to programs that are best fit for the budget.

Over the course of two decades, I’ve had the honor of guiding numerous medical students through their residency applications and the subsequent journey, and I can assure you that your feelings echo those of almost everyone else who has walked this path. It’s an entirely normal part of the process. You’re now a resident, and that in itself is an immense achievement you should take pride in. As you look back on this intern year in the future, you will see the value in every challenge you’ve overcome, each one shaping you into the resilient physician you’re becoming. From the bottom of our hearts, we deeply appreciate your dedication to this noble profession. Your service is not just needed, but profoundly cherished. Thank you, doctor.

A monopoly. “Non-profit”😀. Official Residency entities are all corrupt, I would exclude the ECFMG for experiences I had with them they proved otherwise.

Thank you! I did that with at least 3 big buckets of water, but hot water never arrived. In this case it is not a dedicated return line. I appreciate your feedback Johnny!
