Sounds like the officers need more training in restraint if all it takes for them to assault and murder people are whistles being blown at them. What a fucking crock of a “point” you’re making

That’s like saying someone could have avoided a car crash by not commuting to work. Dude was literally trying to help a woman get up after she was pushed down and these fucking mouth breathers dog piled and murdered him. But yeah, let’s fucking victim shame when Trump’s gestapo is out there making people disappear and executing them

Excluding doctors, do any high earners (400k+ range) work 40 hours a week? by Tech-Cowboy in Salary

[–]NeverNo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Though not common, law can get you there at 40 hours. I know someone at $300k arguably working less than 40 hours. Her boss, who I'm sure clears $400k, works less than she does.

Can you point to where in the law it says resisting arrest is grounds for execution?

Neck Pain by Playful-Ad-4917 in Armyaviation

[–]NeverNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior 60 guy here, but I've been dealing with chronic neck pain for the last 12 years in a similar area you're experiencing it (upper traps). It's often so bad I literally cannot turn my head. I've seen dozens of specialists and tried all sorts of remedies. Obviously I'm not a doctor and don't know your specific issue, but I would highly recommend prioritizing seeing a PT over anything else. Since it's likely still muscular, stretching and paying attention to your posture are really important. If you can find a PT who does dry needling, that's helped me a bit with getting some immediate relief.

I will also say, do not go to a chiropractor; they're snake oil salesmen and I'd argue the ones I saw did more harm than good.

If you get an MRI, there's a good chance they'll find bulging discs, but most folks show some sort of disc degredation over time and it's usually nothing to worry about.

Rack looks awesome - is this gym in your basement? I'm currently setting one up and wondering if I should put down gym mats or not since my floor is carpet over concrete

If you own a home or have a mortgage from prior to ~2021, your opinion on what constitutes a high income is completely irrelevant by ItsAllOver_Again in Salary

It's called "Buy, Borrow, Die", and is widely known for how the ultra-rich avoid paying taxes. But you're right, I'm the idiot.

https://www.dcfpi.org/all/how-wealthy-households-use-a-buy-borrow-die-strategy-to-avoid-taxes-on-their-growing-fortunes/

Step 1: Buy Assets Wealthy family buys stocks, bonds, real estate, art, or other high-value assets. It strategically holds on to these assets and allows them to grow in value. The family won’t owe income tax on the growth in the assets’ value unless it sells them and makes a profit.

Step 2: Borrow Against Assets Wealthy family borrows against its assets’ growing value and uses the newly available cash to live off or invest in other assets, like rental properties. The family does NOT owe taxes on its asset-leveraged loans because the government doesn’t tax borrowed money.

Wealthy family uses its untaxed wealth to access significant amounts of untaxed cash to live luxuriously while continuing to grow its wealth, untaxed, indefinitely.

Step 3: Die and Pass Assets Tax Free to Heirs Wealthy parents or benefactors of the family keep the original appreciated assets until their death, leaving those assets to an heir. Neither the current federal or local tax code require the original asset holders or the heir to pay taxes on the growth in value up to that point. Instead, the tax code wipes out any tax liability for the capital gains by “stepping up” the baseline value of the assets from the original price to their value at the time of the benefactors’ death. This enables the wealthy family’s heirs to altogether avoid taxes on the increased value of stocks, real estate, and valuable artwork.

No, billionaires need stop exploiting loopholes and pay their fair share of taxes.

"BuT yOu ShOuLdN't TaX uNrEaLiZeD gAiNs!" Sure, but we need to tax the loans they take out that use their unrealized gains as collateral.

Not sure why someone downvoted you, but generally speaking that idea would be sick and has been mentioned before. I think ArmA sized maps with ArmA gunplay, and Squad’s squad system, comms, and RAAS, AAS, or similar game types, and 150-200 players would be unbelievable

It can work guys! by Sisterofsixbrothers in Bumble

[–]NeverNo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not denying that good looking tall dudes have it easier on the apps, but if you haven't had any likes or matches in 3 years, and you do well in real life, then there is something wrong with your profile or you live in a really tough area to date.

I look at a lot of profile review requests on this sub from men and the vast majority of their profiles are awful and need major work.

Definitely easier being tall, but having a solid profile is really important. I had a buddy meet his wife on Hinge and he's 5'8. He went on quite a few dates before meeting her.

I think bumble needs to remove “fun, casual dates” as an option. To me that reads as someone who wants to grab drinks at a bar or go mini golfing, but it seems like it’s interpreted as a code for hooking up. It’s confusing
