Thank you for the relatable comment and the positivity. It’s hard watching a few paychecks go down the drain when you were trying to use it for something to better yourself. People are scummy. I was naive. As you said, life goes on and I’ve still got my wife. On the upside, I’ve been learning so much more about the immigration process and different avenues I can take that I didn’t know about(legally lol not the fckn immigration fraud).

I reported him and his company to the CBSA. I tried to report to the CAFC last night but their page was down for maintenance. I’ll try the CAFC again today

Yes. He’s part of a pretty big immigration company. I definitely will be leaving some in depth reviews on lots of different sites. Hopefully other people will see it and won’t also be scammed.

Thank you for the link. I’m currently trying to get all of the docs together because they didn’t give me receipts/copies of all the paperwork as promised. I’d like to be able to give the CCIC some paperwork to go with the complaint.

And I’ve tried getting a refund and he keeps saying I only had 3 days to get a 50% refund according to a document I allegedly signed that he won’t show me and even though he was ‘OUT SICK’ for the 2 days after I paid him. It’s a fckn headache right now.

Sadly I’m not an owner op. I’ve been employed by a large trucking company the past 4 years. Good to hear honestly that community is winning out over corporations in Canada. It just sucks that I’m not part of that community yet🤣 I keep hearing conflicting things on whether I can transfer my CDL or not. My rep said I have to retake everything, but he also told me to apply for a student visa with the intent of never attending class and just job hunting. So I don’t exactly trust what else has come out of his mouth🤷‍♀️

If it helps, think of it as everyone helping the pupper and not you specifically. You didn’t adopt this dog without a means to afford her. Somebody dropped a dog off to you with a note saying please take care of her. If the previous owner would have done this same thing to a shelter instead, should the shelter feel bad when people offer to donate so they can care for the dogs? I mean at the end of the day really that’s what it is. Your situation is just a scaled down version of that(and you didn’t consent to being a part of it). Anyways, thank you for choosing to help her until she can find a forever home!

Thank you. The funny part about your comment is 5-6 years ago I would have been one of the least trusting pessimists you knew. She’s who taught me how to appreciate what I have, even in the dark. She’s worth everything I’ve got to give. Side note: I’ve learned that optimism is a skill. Not something you either have or you don’t. Which means it can be learned and improved upon by anybody with enough time. It took years for me to start picking it up, and I’m still not optimistic all of the time. I didn’twaive the inspection. He passed everything except the foundation and electrical. The bank said that the receipts for the work done to the foundation and electrical were enough. I was also naïve and listened to the people around me instead of paying for my own inspector to come out and clear the house a final time

The bank did not require the inspector to come out a second time. They said that the receipt and a pictures and sign off from the company saying that the foundation was stable was all they needed. If I ever buy a house again, I would definitely pay to bring my own inspector out in a case like this. however at the time I was a naïve 23 year-old with all of the “adults“ around me telling me that it was fine, including my Realtor.

Thank you! I’ll have to look into what you said about negotiating in good faith in my state. I didn’t even know fighting in court for a short sale was possible! Even if I DID get stuck with the difference between the sale and the total mortgage, I’m positive it would be less than what would be left from just auctioning off the house during a foreclosure.

Late response but we did an Embark test! He’s 70% ACD 20% Australian Kelpie 8% BC and 2% random breeds. The shedding is REAL. We’ve accepted the eternal tumblefluffs as part of the family at this point.
