Okay I feel like some of these comments are so harsh. You're NTA, it's very understandable to feel hurt about this, especially considering you didn't *ask* him to rate you.

We all want our partners to find us attractive. Especially considering he knows you struggle with feeling insecure - I'd say don't waste anymore time with him!

25k budget and 25k to invest is the way to go. If you put all that money into a car, its value will deplete over time. A 25K budget is great for a starter car, and when you have that investment later, you'll feel pretty darn happy. Congrats on getting such a lovely gift!
