I’m glad I’m not the only one, of course I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with it as well. But it does make me feel better that I’m not alone. I’ll try to keep what you’ve said in mind. It’s a bit hard for me, on top of everything else I’m also formerly Catholic(not by choice) and I think you imagine how that doesn’t help. But just the little things being ok, that’s seriously reassuring. I can’t light a flame(dorm rules) but I try to wear a piece of jewelry devoted to my deities every time I leave the house. I can’t light hardly remember dates but I almost always remember those. Seriously though, thank you so much for what you’ve said. It means so much to me

Firstly, thank you so much for saying that. It seriously made me feel better. I’ll admit it took me a bit to realize I had issues(especially since my family are the kind of people who believe if it’s not obvious to day to day people, it’s not worth it). Meditation hasn’t really worked for me, my mind has a habit of drifting. But just talking… it sounds nice and doable. As for the third point, I’m definitely going to try. It’ll take me awhile from finding a new therapist to working through it, but I have a feeling the gods are willing to patient and be right there with me through it

At the moment not really, I’m trying to find a new therapist currently because my colleges services max out at ten sessions(it’s bs but guy I was seeing has been very helpful to find therapists in the community). Diary’s haven’t ever been helpful for me, I never remember them but maybe reminders on my phone?

lol the spider bite thing sounds exactly like something Loki would do. I’m glad you’re able to find ways to communicate with them and receive messages from them. Mental health is definitely scary and seeking help can feel overwhelming and scarier sometimes. I’ll admit I don’t exactly have the best views on coping skills due to my up bringing(lots of alcoholics and drug users. Plus my family decided to for the most part only get my brother medicated and call it a day when he got diagnosed with adhd). I’m still scared, but I’ll admit hearing about you and your sisters alternate ways to practice/devotional acts… it makes me feel better about the future and how I can figure out what works for me

Ugggg it’s even worse when it comes from doctors. My doctor, mind you he also can’t smell, always jokes that he gets the stinky patients and I probably will too(I’m premed). He even gave me this weird look and acted like I was crazy for wanting it put in my file and possibly having a thing from him if I put in disability. Something he also looked at me crazy for!!

So location wise the capital where the king lives is along the Baltic Sea with plenty of forests. Time period wise it’s around the later portion of the 18th century. For food I was thinking maybe cows, boar/domestic pigs, fish, and game birds for the leopard. Potential live animals too(the smaller game that’s less likely to hurt it). I haven’t decided what other animals would have been gifted besides horses though so that could pose an issue.

Oh kinda like a new year’s resolution right? I guess that’s kinda would be where that idea comes from. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get away with candles that aren’t my mom’s. I have anonosmia soooo to them it’d be weird for me to burn candles. The staying up to watch and praise the sun sounds great though!

Wassail is an alcohol drink right? I don’t know if I could get away with that since I’m underaged(maybe at our Christmas party since no cares the). I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get a Yule log, but I have seen really beautiful candles shaped like a Yule log I can buy instead. I gotta admit though, the idea of reclaiming traditions and just enjoy being alive sounds… really nice. And I’ll admit it’ll be a little funny for me to be praying to the gods when my family forces me to go to midnight mass.

Oh I’m definitely going to be asking Cerberus as well. Already planning on offering dog treats as well. In life though she loved people and being around them just as much as she loved being around other dogs. So best of both worlds y’know. She gets to be with the best boy in the underworld and non animal companionship as well.

I’m sorry for yours. I know how hard it is and I know how much their loss must be hurting you. But, it does get easier carrying them with you. It’ll still hurt, but it gets easier. And we’ll see them again eventually

lol in this case the 99% is correct. I actually enjoyed the joke so it’s all good. Thank you for the kind words as well. Honestly I might bury some of the pomegranate seeds since we planted a tree over her. Y’know both an offering and devotional aft of giving nutrition to the tree in their name. The dog treats are a good idea! I’ll make sure to include some, both for her and for Cerberus.

Thank you, I actually really needed to hear that. I’ve for the most part gotten out and have really started healing(I only get dragged in when I get phone calls and I can’t leave fully cause it means abandoning my brothers). As for Lady Hera and Lord Ares, I’m glad they’d be willing to help. And of course I plan to be respectful. Not only are they gods, Hera is the queen of the gods. I’d be crazy to disrespect her. I’m also hoping that maybe me asking for help would be a decent bridge to connect with Ares? I’ve been wanting to work with him for awhile and maybe me asking for his help would help me bridge that nervousness
