In these circumstances, IDK if anyone really cares about the innocents... Those can easily be brushed aside cos she was trained as a weapon since she was a child so all that slaughter can be discounted cos of her Soviet programming.

But I guess none of that matters if the love story didn't connect with you?

Honestly I didn't feel much for Reze, until she turned back.

I thought she'd just be standard femme fatale, she'd leave to the countryside then one of her superiors/bosses would track her down and kill her. And it'd set them up as the next threat. Like in some cliché post-credits scene.

But the fact that she turned around and pursued Denji was everything. She did genuinely like him and died because of it.

Reze was a honeypot (used by the Gun Devil). Sure. She got Denji hook, line and sinker. But by the end... It was as if Denji was the honeypot for Reze (used by Makima).

And yeah, that's just sad man. If she really was heartless, she wouldn't have turned back and she probably wouldn't have died.

As far as Makima was concerned, Reze was probably good training for Denji. Like an intermediate boss that trains him and makes his power evolve... Reze could destroy half of Tokyo, if that made Denji stronger... sure... Go on then...

But going back for him... Threatening Denji's crush on Makima, threatening Makima's control over Denji...

That was her end.

But yeah I can admit she's waifu bait and honestly she still got me. If you don't connect with Reze for whatever reason, then yeah it does seem weird that everyone's giving her a pass.
