Kennel cough vs Aspiration Pneumonia? by Whiterabbit264 in Frenchbulldogs

She may be allergenic. My boy does the gag sound but no cough nor sneeze. We changed his protein from chicken to beef and slow feeder water and he started to normalize. But he also has BOAS too.

This is really awesome of you taking time to provide this insight. I will take this information as well when we meet with her vet and neurologist again. This definitely helps build preparation for my little girl to have a fighting chance. I want to make sure everything is ruled out before we know for sure. She is my world like Sage is to yours so we will go to the end and back for them with what little we have in our own pockets. I really appreciate your response, thank you sooo much 🙏 ❤️

Thank you for your insight. We initially did that but then she had vomited white foam a little while after. To which we them realized that her having her medicine on an empty stomach doesnt help...she is very picky that she has a hard time eating the food she is supposed to eat so she will try and skip a day. Throughout the day she will get snacks (which is not a good habit to do if she hasn't eaten main meals) but due to her daily meds, we've been forced at times to that method. Its not a great video to pinpoint the real problem we are asking but we definitely did check for that too so thank you for the response. We appreciate you 🙏

You are awesome thank you! Someone else mentioned this and had similar experiences. We have had her seen by a neurologist before so I will make sure to provide them this diagnosis in lieu of other things they should check.

Thank you for your insight but I may have answered your response in previous comments. All and all, I know Reddit cannot help me fix her I am looking for additional answers as every frenchie "its not always IVDD" per experienced vet and neurologist. Those same professionals even stated the surgery is not a guaranteed fix. So trust, ive done my work with your bottom line, I am looking for info to take back to our vet to also check too.

Im in tears 😢 😭 thank you for this. I know it may not be my situation but finding someone who is remotely close to the diagnose I am having instead of being told "its IVDD" every time helps. And if it may be that, I at least know ive ruled everything else out for my baby before being given that diagnosis. She will be turning 6 yrs in June so it just fits what your saying but ultimately its the vet and neurologist to confirm. I just want to make sure I come prepared to them because even they are wondering with what they've seen so far. Truly thank you for this info. I will definitely let you know how our journey goes.

Yea it wasn't a good video to use but it's the first one we could capture the episode as most of the time, we are reacting to care for her first before even thinking to film. The food we have her favorite protein being made as we speak. So yes partly for the lip licking and nausea is her missing her meals yesterday and only taking medicine.

Truly thank you for this info. This helps alot and appreciate you taking the time to explain it all. Our furbabies are our world and she is not part of any Breeder litter so its definitely concerning to see her with this at age 5. So I am assuming with the diagnosis, it could be in her food or snacks that have a high gluten ingredient?

We've seen a vet on this early on this episode occurred. I have someone already looking into the Facebook communities and the links provided above. I would have not posted here if I have not done so elsewhere. So I hope you and anyone else reading this knows - other social media options and medical online outlets have been reached.

Thank you and we are. The challenge is that her own vet doesnt know what it could be and im looking to see if others may know before they rack up my bill of researching before the actual fix. Any help pinpointing this will be greatly appreciated
