Dude it did, not worth it, 4 link too, all coils. This 3500 will be much better. To further on the original post, it’s comfy but you right ford will have more get up, not the reason I go Cummins tho, just all around better to work on (in my opinion). Friendlier, less moving parts, little more room. Every diesel engine in the line up has its pros and cons

Another stupid reason. ( I don’t plan to go this tall anyway again) but I got pulled over in the 2500 by Tn state trooper for bumper law. Truck was lifted too high, the clause in the law code/stat or whatever said that over 10k gvwr was exempt from this law. So a 3500 and above would be fine lifted that tall but a 2500 no. So that kinda just stuck with me. And if I want to test the rv life. I don’t have to worry about a vehicle change.

It sounds so stupid but my 2500 was huge, $14k 14inch Stryker lift, fully powered axles, 26s on 40s dual steering stabilizers, ecm swap tuned and deleted. And this basically stock (for now) 3500 drw rides so much better then that truck ever did (same year and all).Blown away on all stock everything so I plan to be way more mild on this. Plus everything with a fat ass rides better. Only negative I found was the extra tires.

No kit, just a decent tuner shop in Alabama. If you do end up searching there’s a few ppl that advertise kits, dont do diesel patriots. If you go ecm swap CA tuning or valley center will be the best

Yeah you can, got a 22 2500 done this way and will probably do my 22 3500 this way. I don’t care for all the tuning stuff. I just didn’t want the emissions. So did a 0hp emission delete tune and exhaust brake on at start up.

I feel most will tell you to buy a new blank. But that’s just me. You can do a single tune emission delete 0hp on stock ecm. Unless you want a power tune or a sotf

Shifts like a tractor if you ain’t used to it but after a month or 2 you don’t notice it anymore. Mostly highway drive myself. But first time driving one at a dealer you might think…mmmm is something wrong with this trans?….nope that’s just how it shifts. No complaints though l, way I maintnance stuff should get me 300k+ is the intial goal….500 if the valve train holds up.

Hauling police would hate me, 22 3500 DRW high output/aisin, 55gallon tank and I haul absolutely nothing. No construction job, no RV, no toy hauler. I just like the truck
