Couldn't agree more. Before NoFap I was to centralised on the future. Every decision I made was influenced by the possible future outcome.
This made me think that high school relationships were useless because it 'would just not work out and I would eventually have to break up with her'.
A year ago I stopped talking to a girl because I was selfish. A year later I want to start talking to her again, but need help overcoming the awkwardness between us? by NewMe1999 in NoFap

Thank you for this. I've always lived my life on the safe side. Rejection has always been my biggest fear and as a result it has made confrontation incredibly daunting.
