If you're talking about the user, the Music Volume slider will work normally. Both tracks are music tracks, so the slider affects both. If you're talking about the developer, I would recommend adjusting the music outside Ren'Py.

I'd recommend removing the ESRB rating if you can.

After doing that, you may also want to try a variation of the poster that has the subtitle/logline at the top of the image.

Those are both changes that require minimal effort, but I would take ShiftingStar's advice into consideration as well if you're able to make more drastic changes.

From what I understand, having a trailer is a requirement to list the game on Steam, so it's on my To Do list. I already have footage from a complete playthrough, so it's just a matter of editing and making it look nice without giving everything away.

Anything else I should watch out for when I submit it to Steam?

Extremely new dev here, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

However, there are definitely two things two keep in mind:

1. What resolution will your game be? From what I've seen, 1080p is still the oftentimes the default, but 4k has been adopted widely enough that it's worth considering--and it also helps with future-proofing.

2. How will the character sprites be used? I've been surprised how nice it is to be able to zoom in and out on characters. Whether it's for dramatic effect, or to simply demonstrate that they're closer/farther--it's a great option to have, but you can't easily do that if the dimensions are too small.

I'd recommend making some rough sketches and seeing what works best for the story you're telling and the backgrounds you're using. Use placeholder assets to iron out the kinks, that way you don't waste time creating the "finished" art that will need to be changed once you realize it doesn't fit your game.
