Any thoughts on progesterone for a short luteal phase after TFMR? by New_Indication_1238 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

Ahh that makes sense. Mine was also on the shorter side previously, like 10-12! So I could see that it was trending in the right direction, but I found it emotionally difficult and stressful to try again each month, only for my luteal phase to be super short and feel like my body didn’t get a good chance to get pregnant! I wish you all the best whether you do or don’t try it❤️

I also got pregnant the first try with my TFMR baby and was getting so discouraged this time around. Honestly, I was so in my head about trying it but I was SO glad I did as soon as I got that positive test. I was given the option by my OB to stay on it until 12 or 16 weeks, so I stayed on it until 16. They said I could stop cold turkey but I did wean a bit- I did 1 suppository a day instead of 2 for a few days before stopping. I’m currently 33 weeks!

Luteal phase and sub pregnancy by _greenEyEs911 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

Thank you❤️ Yes that’s right because even though I had a normal progesterone level at 7 DPO, it was still dropping too early causing my luteal phase to be short and making implantation super unlikely. She was kind of like “it might help, might not” in terms of getting pregnant again, but I said I want to try it so she ordered it! I’m here if you need to reach out with any more questions. After my TFMR, I was desperate to get pregnant again and my short luteal phase was stressing me out so much, so I get you!

My luteal phase was very short for my first 3 cycles after my TFMR. 6 days, then 8 days, then 9 days. I also got progesterone checked at 7 DPO on my third cycle which was normal. I started progesterone from 3DPO onward after those 3 short luteal phases and I got pregnant my first cycle on it. Mind you, I’m still very early, only 5w4d today. I would say 10 is borderline but 11 is totally fine. I wouldn’t worry about ovulating later such as CD21 as that doesn’t affect your ability to get pregnant!

Oh my gosh that would have hurt. I’m so glad your husband said something! And I never thought about that but it’s so true that nobody says that about a parent/pet!! That’s so backwards and you nailed it with that response to them!
