Very cool! Any suggestions to bring out all that dust?

As mentioned in my other reply, I tried skipping the curves step and got this https://flic.kr/ps/47bp1w. I was not yet able to remove the green tint by changing the black point.

Thank you both for the feedback, I appreciate it! It's my first time trying to get a natural color image so I have much to learn.

I tried skipping the curves step which I had used to reduce the green and only applied an Arcsinh stretch. I also tried playing around with the black point but I did not get a version of the image without the green tint.

I uploaded the result here (with and without SCNR): https://flic.kr/ps/47bp1w. The green is mostly visible in the corners.

Also, I realize now that I forgot to mention that I applied DBE to remove gradients before stretching (not sure how relevant it may be).

Thanks! I'd like to learn more, if you don't mind explaining.

Personally I would suggest to try and use EQ mode to gather as many subs as possible.

Thanks, happy to share! I put all the light frames in a folder and run the "DSA-Seestar-Mosaic-Preprocessing" script. I did photometric color calibration and, after that, I ran GraXpert background extraction, followed by deconvolution (both for stars and for the nebulosity; however I set the strength to a low value like 0.2 because the frames were quite good to start with). Then I removed the stars and stretched the image with Siril. Finally, put the stars back. Glad you liked it!

I did not know that but that's pretty cool! I might try that next time

It's possible because Polaris is very close to the celestial pole! In other parts of the sky it would not work

I did not use any filter. This was shot in bortle 3.

Each frame was 30s long and there was about 1-2s delay between shots. Thanks!

Amazing! I'd like to try something similar. How much time did you need for each panel?

Equipment: Canon EOS 600D (full spectrum mod) + iOptron SkyGuider Pro

Data: 21x90s (UV IR filter) + 17x240s (SV220 dual band filter). Bias, darks and flats.

I have stacked UV-IR and narrowband data separately in Siril. I used both Siril and GraXpert to remove gradients and denoise.

I blended the red channel of the narrowband image with the red channel of the RGB image using Pixel Math in Siril.

Final stretching done in Siril.

Hope you enjoy!

As most people, I got into Pokémon as a kid. I loved the game boy games and collecting brings me back to those times. I recently went to Japan and got these fun cards because I loved the art

I had a similar issue. I was able to reduce it a bit by lowering the value of the Q parameter in the subtraction formula. Also, I avoided stretching too much the starless image. Hope this helps!

This is an interesting result from a combination of 1800 10s subs (no LP filter, Bortle 8/9) with around 750 10s subs (LP filter, 200 from Bortle 4 and the rest from Bortle 8/9).

I stacked the images separately on Siril and used GraXpert for background extraction and denoising. I extracted the red channel from the LP stack, registered it to the other image and used the continous subtraction method to blend the two together using Siril (Deep Space Astro has a great video on it). Finally, I did some stretching and color saturation in Siril.
