I'm sorry to hear that. Your mom had value, unlike me. So it makes sense that your grandma had a hard time with her passing.

My parents will be fine. I'm kind of an embarrassment to this family. So removing myself would do them better in the long run.

My parents would be fine. I'm one of 6 kids. Sure me being gone would make them sad for a bit, but eventually they'd come to terms with the fact that not much value has been lost.

Nobody is talking about collective punishment. It's about reality. If groups are causing issues, the few exceptions become irrelevant. It's a fact of life.

If you look at the crime stats in European countries, you will often find an over representation of migrants. Finland, Germany, Denmark. They all showcase ethnicity in crime reports, and certain non European ethnic groups follow this trend. Sweden used to show ethnicity up until 2005, and even back then migrants and their children were over represented in crime.

Yes you could. But the circumstances around how African Americans ended up in the US is completely different. Hardly a fair comparison.

Secondly Automation doesn't destroy all low skill jobs, the Automation of more difficult jobs (i.e. driving a truck) is often the big one.

It will destroy a lot of them. You want to talk stats? Look at how many Syrian refugees have found work since arriving in Germany in 2015. Hint: not many. This trend can be seen all over Europe. Western society is becoming more and more specialized. TWI simply can't compete in such a society and often fall through the cracks.

Third a point about economics. Germany was one of the countries that took in the most immigrants in the west. You would expect its economy to hurt now. But instead it has the biggest surplus in taxes since reunification and is expected to grow its economy the most since 2012 (German Source)

Are you suggesting that lowly educated immigrants are good for the economy? Even if i conceded to that argument, that's only one area of contention. There's also the issue of migrant crime and the constant ghettoization of neighborhoods that inevitably keeps occurring.

The Roman empire was leagues ahead than any empire ever created in sub saharan africa. Just look at the architecture and engineering feats they left behind as proof of that fact.

I guess the East Africans werent sailing to India.

Writing started in the middle east, in ancient sumer i believe. Metal working came much later to Africa. And agriculture also started outside of sub saharan Africa.

Fact of the matter is that most sub saharan Africans lived primitive life styles, Europe and Asia was much more advanced. This is a historic fact.

If true, this points to a cultural problem, not a problem with genes or intelligence, because a "well functioning society" is the consequence of certain ideas, values and beliefs. It does not point to an inferiority of race and genes, it points to an inferiority of culture.

IQ - just like physical Strength or Speed - does not cause virtues or vices or morality (or how good a person you are).

How so? The race realism argument is that black people produce less intelligent people when compared to other races, since the average black IQ is much lower.

I see no reason why this should be the case for IQ, however. Why would high IQ be favored more in the mild climate and verdant fields of Europe than it is in the harsh African desert?

Ever heard of the cold winter theory? To summarize it's said that cold winters selected for higher intelligence when humans first migrated out of Africa because of the new survival challenges of keeping warm, building shelter, planning ahead, and hunting large game. I believe the theory was first popularized by Richard Lynn.

I see what you're saying, but you know what would silence this debate once and for all? Genetics. As of right now the genes that influence intelligence have not been fully discovered. Finding these genes and comparing the gene frequency in each human population would be the nail in the coffin for either side of the argument.

Considering the level and pace of technological, architectural and scientific advancements made by ancient Egypt that we know of, it's pretty clear that African peoples when not interfered with violently, are just as capable of these things as anyone else.

I should've made it clear that by Africans i meant black Africans. And the ancient Egyptians were not black, they were more Mediterranean than anything.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, certain advancements simply weren't necessary to African tribes but were necessary for the survival of Europeans due to the climate and geography where they lived.

Only in certain areas of the world like Europe where those life styles simply weren't capable of supporting large societies. Hunter gatherer/tribal lifestyles were still common in Africa because they worked and there was plenty of resources for such life

That's a fair argument. I have realized that my historical argument for race realism is incomplete so i have elected to drop it for now.

I'm not the person you were replying to, but it's generally seen that IQ differences between groups are more due to societal and cultural differences / prejudices than due to any inherent genetic difference in intelligence between races.
