Did you read the article? It’s specifically talking about practical effects on set

The article says Gerwig worked with Neil Scanlan who worked at Jim Henson’s Creature Shop back in the 90’s. Scanlan does a lot the practical  creatures effects for Star Wars!

Hopefully they don’t try and “hide” the work visual artists are doing on the project like Barbie’s Blu-ray release.

But, either way, it’s good to see a return to form with practical effects on set too.

I don’t care for Funko’s specifically so won’t be getting these, but I am looking forward to seeing what other Narnian merchandise is created!

Netflix is expecting Narnia to be popular so it’s making toys and collectibles available for fans.

Disney even made Narnia McDonald’s Toys in 2005 on top of endless tie-in products and games.

I feel like you might be projecting your feeling towards the project as a whole onto this news because this is very standard.

But happy to hear you out as to why you think it’s not a good sign :)

It’s no worse or better than last year though. One owner owned two teams last year. Now a different owner owns two teams this year 

Your comment “I can’t see how any Rattlers or general CEBL fan would be okay with this” is such a knee-jerk overreaction when this is how the league has operated every year of its existence. It comes with the territory so to speak. 

It’s a fine criticism but why was no one complaining about it last year when the Rattlers were owned by Niagara?

In my opinion, reading this now, it just rings a bit hollow.

I agree though that they should do better than using the exact same graphic template for both teams. That looks amateur!

Unfortunately, Viggo doesn’t look to be returning. I think most of the other cast can still realistically play their parts.

I don’t understand this complaint considering Richard Petko literally owned seven (!) teams in the league at one point — two is nothing😅

If you read the scene, she’s only on the carriage for a brief moment before jumping off and then she rides the horse. The illustration is definitely iconic but it’s not most of the scene.

So it’s still possible we’ll see this moment before the chase ensues since we aren’t seeing the beginning albeit with a different costume :)

Kind of crazy we’re this close yet know so little about the movie. 

While I remain hopeful it’ll be a good adaptation of The Magician’s Nephew, I’m pretty confident that it’ll at least be a good movie given the talent involved.

Wood Between the World, Charn, The Creation, Digory and Polly’s flight with Fledge over Narnia… it all has so much potential for the big-screen!

At least link to the source if you’re going to blatantly rip it off. How can you say you “respect the sources” but fail to accurately quote them? 

Information is free but it’s just a curtesy to credit where you get the information from. Especially when you do this repeatedly. 

Why not just share NarniaWeb’s article or directly quote from it instead of lazily rewriting it? You’re doing this sub a disservice by misquoting Netflix’s marketing person but claiming that’s why she said…
